Onside kick?
Wondering if anybody has had developed any rule for an "onside" kick for a team that's behind late in the game. I've always sort of thought that this aspect has been missing. If I'm down 2-0 going into the second half, and I get the ball and manage to cut the lead to 2-1 with 4 or 3 turns to go, it's frustrating b/c it's likely (though not impossible) that I probably won't touch the ball again. I would love a low percentage, but highly exciting option of kicking the ball in such a way to allow my club a chance to recover immediately and go for the tie. Any ideas?

Nothing has to be created, you can do it right now. Having the kick skill is not imperative but it helps.
1) set up your defense in a wide coverage pattern and at least one guy deep in case the kick off doesn't go your way
2) make sure you've got a Sure Hands guy on the side you want to kick to
3) place the ball near the line on the wings
4) pray for Blitz or Perfect Defense
The ball will hopefully scatter somewhere near the line.
What does this do for you? Their Sure Hands players are probably in the back. They might have stacked their offense to one side and will lose movement trying to cover where the ball is now sitting. For your first turn you have the oppurtunity to get better numbers on them and strip the ball out.
I've scored more on defense than offense even without Kick. Trick is getting players into the backfield and disrupting the play.
