Would Norse gain from smaller or larger field?
Hi there. We're gonna allow teams to carry somewhat different sizes of home pitches. My question is if Norse would gain from a smaller or larger field? Aforemost at a benchmark TV of around 2 million.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Timmy's fjord fromage with spam would benefit most from a smaller field due to frenzy....

Oh, I soooo want to troll an answer here, but in light of our recent conversations about thread hijacking/trolling I'll admit I have no idea if the the BB Norse team would prefer a shorter field.

Different lengths or widths? As it were...

I think frenzy would prefer a narrower pitch; shorter or longer though would depend on the other teams in the league. Norse aren't going to one turn much even if you shorten the length by 1, so I'd be reluctant to expose yourself to that from the faster teams. If I had to guess I'd think they'd want longer and narrower.

Not sure about norse but hi AG teams/MV & passing teams would clean up. can imaging Elves and Skaven running amok on a small pitch

Re: Would Norse gain from smaller or larger field?
Bashy teams would prefer a narrower pitch, so they can block it off easier. Not sure about length... in some ways I'd say shorter, since they seem to be slower, but then against high AG/MV teams they'd just concede quicker. Though that would probably help with the whole 2-1 grind thing...
Dash teams are obviously going to want wider pitches, so they can break through the line and get downfield quicker. Personally, I'd also want longer, so I could stall easier.
Norse are (IMO) a kind of hybrid, bashy but with a bit of speed and AG above most other bashy teams, so you could go either way - possibly depending on the rest of the league. Though with a lot of frenzy then narrow is definitely good

I'm not sure if we're talking about whether the pitches have more or fewer squares or the squares themselves are non-standard sized, i.e. the 2nd ed board, custom pitch, etc.

Are we talking about Norse the team or Norse the Ramsay?

The team. I resisted the urge to mention Ramsey.

Good, glad to have cleared that one up
In that case, I agree that longer and narrower would play best into Norse hands, mainly for the stalling and surfing reasons above.
