I like this one :D
0-16 gobbos 40K A 6237 dodge, stunty, right stuff
0-1 bomber 40K A 6237 dodge, stunty, bombardier, secret weapon
0-1 looney 40K A 6237 stunty, chainsaw, secret weapon
0-1 pogoer 70K A 7237 dodge, stunty, leap, very long legs
0-1 fanatic 70K S 3737 stunty, secret weapon, no hands, ball & chain
0-2 squigs 90K AS 5438 frenzy, leap, wild animal, no hands
0-2 trolls 110K S 4519 TTM, regenerate, mighty blow, really stupid, always hungry
I.e. loner off the trolls, and some nice, simple squigs.
Cheers
Martin

I like it. Loner off the Trolls. Great.

However, Squigs must have M access of some kind for me. Either on normals or doubles. They must be able to get Claw if they don't start with it. And FA and Horns and Disturbing Presence.

I'm happy with AS access. Diving Tackle is a very Squig skill, and Side Step seems fluffy too.

Not sure about the price. At the moment they work out as 14 points (120K) without taking into account WA or No Hands. WA is a huge penalty when there are 2 of them, and No Hands is nearly -3 AG plus Break Tackle.

Leap isn't a problem, since two WAs is very difficult to control. This is how it should be. The more Squigs get on the pitch, the more mayhem there should be. :D

I think squigs don't need to be ST 4.

I'd rather go with

5 3 3 8 WA, frenzy, nohands, leap, VLL, dauntless

...reflecting that squigs are perfectly insane enough to confront anything in front of them, even the bigger opponents - but you don't give it the same ST as a Chaoswarrior, which would be too much IMHO.

They are ST 5 in WFBm stronger than a CW. I know WFB isn't BB, but in this case it is a guide (since Squigs only exist in WFB their stats must be a touchstone).

I'd be interested to see a Night Goblin roster with 0-1 Troll, 0-1 Fanatic, Goblins and 0-3 Squigs.

My prefered statline would be:

0-3 _ Squigs _ 80K _ 5437 _ Claw, Frenzy, Leap, No hands, Wild Animal _ AS/GPM

Hmmm so would I....might use it as a special team for the Rocket Bowl and add it to the Stunty Cup lineup...so long as a balanced team could be formulated. You've got 10 months......GO!

That would be awesome. :)

I think the team is balanced as listed above. One less Troll, no chainsaw, no bomber, no pogo. Squigs are fragile at AV7 and liable to get themselves into trouble with Frenzy and no Guard. Three WAs on the pitch means they are more likely to do nothing all game ... but there is the chance of them going crazy. Very goblin.

Hmmm... I think 3 WA's would be a serious liability.
I think it would be much weaker than standard gobbos.
Sure - they've got the potential to destroy the LOS, but failing that (or playing defense) they look weak. IMO!

Weak = not overpowered ~= balanced.

A liability for sure. One WA is that, I hate the guys. But maybe with 3 you have the advantage that they shouldn't all fail.

Having 3 ST4 players around the placed would still be okay. If they were standing, not getting them all to Move wouldn't be the end of the world. You Blitz with one, and hope the odds are good and one of the other two gets his 4+ to Move, thus keeping them fairly involved.

It would be a ridiculous team, very boom or bust.

I think at least with 1, you can try for the blitz action often.
With 3, 2 of them will spend a lot of time doing nothing.

If weaker than goblins says balanced to you, then by all means have fun with them :D

I'd say that any Star Player that is eligable to play for the Goblin team would also be eligable to play for these.

Hi Joe and all,
I've run a small tournament with the modified teams.
Our gobbo coach took both squigs, and has reported back that they were not very useful due to WA - and that he would have been better off saving the cash for inducements!

So 2 or even 3 squigs seem to be unmanageable.
Cheers

They need some Goblins (Catchers, Foulers, whatever) that start with a Skill or two.

Personally I would go with 0-2 Goblin Kickers (Dodge, Stunty, Right Stuff, Dirty Player)

I think a 3rd troll might do the trick :)

I like this one. . wasn't there a legacy team that was mixed rats and gobbos? (Was it the original Lowdown Rats?)

1-16 gobbos
0-6 Linerats.
0-1 Troll
All the regular secret weapons a gobbo team can sneak in.

I would take away the troll. . however I would miss throwing a team mate on this team. So I think they should still get one.

Possibly only 0-4 Linerats if 0-6 makes it too strong.
