this is not a CBBL house rule, and we nver tested it. is only a proposition:

-dodge: allow to RR a failed roll when you 'dodge'
-parry: avoid the 'pow and exclamation mark' dice result

-sure hands: avoid strip ball
-pick up: allow to RR a failed try to pick up the ball

all are skills, the first is an AG skills, and all the others a re general skills

what do you think? stupid? insane? good? maybe?

a better idea might be to find the really weak skills and boost them a little

the problem with spliting those skills is "parry" and "sure hands" are pretty sh!t

parry would not be worth an agility skill (yes i know you called it a general one) and would pretty much weaken the agility teams as a general skill causing some new house rule to rebalence things, anyway tackle is there to stop dodge being all powerful

the "sure hands" aspect is not really that important as the "pickup" aspect of sure hands, anyway if a heap of players in the league have sure hands, don't bother with strip ball, take something more useful

spliting skills has never truely won anyone over and i really doubt it ever will
