Do you use "argue the call" in your league?

Simple question, I know some people love this rule as a fluff element, others hate it as an unreasonable element that spoils the fouling mechanism.

Just curious about how you handle it. A guy in my league wants it back for fluff reasons.

Hi Narcotic,
this poll won't really tell you whether people like it or not.
ATC is official in all LRB leagues, so coaches would need to have a big grudge against it to remove it.

Cheers
Martin

I hoped people would also post concerns like they use it but still don't like it etc.

Hell yeah!

If a ref's stupid enough not t send a Deathroller off every time, then he's stupid enough to listen to the BS a coach can spout at him.

We use it and have a houserule so that you can bribe him. :)

Each 10.000 G allows you to modify the D6 +/- 1, but both player have to pay before you roll the D6.

And we don't have problems with dirty players running mad...

Should this be in the vault section?

I don't think so. There is an argue the call in the LRB as well!

Oh, and we use it in the ABBA and Bubble league. No modified rules, just the way it is and that's working fine!

I just want to know whether and how people house-rule Argue the Call. What that has to do with the vault?

Anyway, I houseruled it out 1 year ago and nobody realized that it was ruled out for a long time. It seems that it is regarded as a superflous rule. Apart from number crunching, pro-fluff and anti-one-extra-roll-that's-not needed, the majority in my league seem to adopt the opinion, that you foul and roll to see if you get caught and that's the story, no need for another lucky 6 to wind your player out of that.

Okay - I thought you were asking if people were house ruling it back in - because its been removed from the PBBL rules.

I've never played in a league or tournament where it wasn't used. I've seen a few inexperienced coaches forget about it - and I've seen lots of people not realise it can be used on any penalty (S/Ws, IPs).
