I have always thought it a little strange that you could fall down and break your neck on a GFI. I can see the falling down when you try to push yourself to go farther, but dying as a result seems a bit much. I would suggest that there be a -1 to the cas roll when inj on GFIs and dodge failures. I think the only deaths should result from blocks, fowls, and crowd injuries. Seems to make more sense.

I think it's only funny that players die on a GFI or some other unusual way. Good for all those "low pain threshold" jokes.
Just saw a goblin die when a troll fumbled a throw team-mate roll (btw, do you have to roll for armour with a fumbled TTM?)

As far as I can remember, armour roll on a fumbled TTM. I guess I should TTM failures in with block, fouls, etc. I really like to see stunties go splat!

I have no problem at all with death on GFI failures ... there are a lot of spikey things sticking out of a BB pitch ... spikes, broken thigh bones, etc. etc.

Don't forget the holes dug by the home team!

You can always say death isn't really death - it just means the player is so badly hurt that he can't play again - e.g. a completely managled knee - and doesn't fancy coaching.

Yeah, die.
it's always funny, especially f it's in the Endzone whilst carrying the ball for the winning TD.......as long as it's not your player

Absolutely.
See it as a heart attack suffered for pushing yourself that extra mile

Or even better: the player has had so many minor injuries that were infected that he finally collapsed due to gangreen

OK, so nobody likes the idea. It was just a thought. Instead why not increase the amount of death and destruction, this is what BB is all about.

How else are one turn scoring Gutter Runners going to die?

The obvious answer:
If you don't want a player to die from GFI's, don't make them. They are voluntary.

Yes if...
All the players in the dug out roll for frostbite during Blizzard games, all the players in the dug out roll for pneumonia during puring rain, all players roll for blindness when it's very sunny, all players roll to see if they are run over by a stampede on the way to the stadium.
See the humanoid body has arm that act as life savers when you fall down. If all Blood Bowl players were armless I'd say yes but they aren't. they are armored warriors trained in sports/combat and I find the idea of rolling the dice on a million to one shot moronic.

If you go down, you roll for armour. That the way it is!
I once killed an AG 5 Wight on a "Bannana Skin". Now that was funny.
