it chould be so fun with a skill like this...
requireing the "throw opponent" skill and the opponent to have th "right stuff" skill...
maybe making a S test before the throw, minus the S of the opponent?
...and then loop that freak of the pitch!
making the throw as normal...counting as a throw action...

This has been a Strength skill in the MBBL2 for years now:
Pitch Player (SKILL) -
This skill allows a player to throw an opponent using the Throw TeamMate rules (even if the opponent does not have the Right Stuff skill). However you must first roll to see if you snag the player to throw him. Make a Strength roll (ie an Agility roll using Strength instead of Agility as the stat) with the following modifiers:
+1 for each offensive assist you have (ie Blocking offensive assists)
-1 for each defensive assist the opponent has (ie Blocking defensive assists)
-x where x is the ST of the opponent
-1 if opponent has Block and you don't have Block
-1 if opponent has Dodge and you don't have Tackle
-1 if opponent has Side Step
-1 if opponent has Foul Appearance
A failed roll before or AFTER means nothing happened (and a roll of 1 is always a failure and a modified 1 or less is a failure even if the natural roll was a 6). A success means that the player may throw the opponent using the Throw TeamMate rules however the Landing roll will always be done with a -2 modifier regardless of the result of the Throw TeamMate pass. Players suffering casualties from a Pitch Player play count for casualty SPPs (this includes if you eat the opponent).

I still think there should be an "Intercept Player" for Big guys, and coupled with the Pitch team mate, you can watch a troll snag a fling out of the air, and throw it back at the treeman.

I have seen a Treeman throw an Ogre in one MBBL2 match with this skill ... quite fun.

Treeman had 2 assists on the Ogre which made it a 4+ roll to throw him and he pulled it off. (ST 6 = 1+ to succeed - 5 (Ogre ST) + 2 (assists)) = 4+
I don't know if any of the Always Hungry players have managed to eat an opponent yet though. If I remember correctly someone used a re-roll once though to try and fail the Always Hungry roll after succeeding with the Pitch Player roll.
We also had a ST 7 Minotaur in the MBBL2 for a while that had the Pitch Player skill (now he was scary).

hehe sweet, but quite alot of rules regarding the +/- to the roll...
-1 if opponent has Block and you don't have Block
-1 if opponent has Dodge and you don't have Tackle
-1 if opponent has Side Step
-1 if opponent has Foul Appearance
but very realistic, and cool...
how come this isnt in BB?
and the skill isnt in the newer versions...? to mean?
intercept player chould be cool aswell, against leaping strip ballers and so on...

Why don't they just have to make a FA Roll instead?

We didn't like the idea of 2 dice rolls to perform the action ... and since we were doing "block-like" modifiers ... we just threw in FA.

The rule is in use ... just its part of the MBBL2 ruleset.
The MBBL2 ruleset is considered one of the "out-there" rulesets. Many new skills ... almost 90 races to make a team from ... and at this point ... its still LRB 4.0 based (with me having all sorts of good intentions to get it to LRB 5.0 for over a year).
So it is in use ... but not for normal rules. The modifiers make the skill work really well without anyone complaining about it being too powerful ... but its too complex for the normal rules. In PBeM its a snap because the computer does all the heavy lifting to determine the dice roll you need to be successful.

No ... sorry.
and what is actually going to be added to version 6?
My last list had 13 items on it ... so not much. And most of these are pretty small items at that (like not allowing a B&C player to use the Leap skill). And note ... nothing is set yet ... this year the BBRC will just be announcing experimental rules that will be tested for the next year before being voted on.

What am I going to do with my leaping ball and chain goblin when that happens? *shakes fist*
