DIY Star Players

Our LRB5e tabletop league is toying with the idea of creating our own star players from existing players who have retired from teams for any reason (other than death, of course, unless they were dead to start with).
I've been playing with a pricing formula and have come up with the following:
1. Start with the base cost for the player (e.g. 50,000 if he's a human lineman)
2. Add 30,000 for being a merc/star
3. Additions
a) Add 50,000 for each normal skill
b) Add 70,000 for each double skill
c) Add 30,000 for +MA or +AV
d) Add 40,000 for +AG
e) Add 50,000 for +ST
4. Deductions
a) Deduct 25,000 for -ST
b) Deduct 20,000 for -AG
c) Deduct 15,000 for -MA or -AV
d) Deduct 5,000 for each niggle
I know that these costs work out more expensive than existing stars but this is more an "added flavour" thing than trying to undermine the existing star system.
What I'm wondering - before I spend much more time tinkering - is whether anyone else has already done this with a tried and proven pricing formula?
