All Star teams tournament

Not really sure where to put this, thought House Rules would be appropriate ...

A friend of mine wants to organize a LRB5 tournament where everyone would bring his own home made team, built as an All Star team with players from all races. For the moment he is considering the following team setup for everyone :

0-1 Big Guy
0-4 ST4+ Players - might end up as a 0-2 only
0-4 Catchers
0-2 Throwers and Runners
0-6 Any non Lineman non ST4+ player, excluding all roles above
0-16 Lineman - LRB5 so no Marauders

Team based limitations still apply. For example, you can only use 0-2 Wardancers since it is a 0-2 player in the Wood Elf team.

TV does count for inducements. Rerolls are 60K and can be bought at will.

. Do you think this would be an interesting tournament?
. If yes, what would you play?

I was considering :

1 Chaos Minotaur
2 Chaos Warrior - ST4 with Claw access to fight opposing high armour ST4 players on the LOS
2 Saurus - ST4 with good MA, picked over Bull Centaur and Ulwerener for TV purposes.

2 Wood Elf Catcher - Offensive Catchers
1 Gutter Runner - Defensive Catcher, looking for Mutations here

1 Elf Thrower - Offensive Thrower
1 Dark Elf Runner - Defensive Thrower

2 Wardancer - Mobile Blitzer, great skills, can be used as secondary Catchers.
2 Beastmen - Mostly for Mutations, cheap for a 6338 GSM player
1 Looney
1 Human Blitzer - MA7 with Block and decent AV + cheap price

16 players, with 4 RR and no FF. TV 1650.

Well its going to be a cheese fest...

Personally I might try and split it into good & evil.
Good races - Lizardmen, Halflings, Dwarves, Humans, Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves, Norse, Amazons
Evil races - everyone else

Maybe halve the limit of the positional? So you can only have one 0-2, or two 0-4s?

In 2nd Ed, we used to do Good v Evil using the star players. Good won pretty much every time, with a powerful combo of mighty dwarves (Pick Seamsunder, Grimwold) and agile elves (Highhelm Lypadre, Valen Swift). Baddies had some fantastic players but were a bit too unreliable.

we tried to do something like this as an "all star game" at the end of the season, building two teams with players chosen from the best of the teams that play the league.

each position is assigned to a class and the two teams have the same basic roster of
4 blitzers
1 thrower
5 lines
1 big guy
6 positions to be chosen between catchers, blockers and "others" like the witch elf, the dwarf slayer or gobbo's secret weapons
coaches choose alternatively among the pool of players available, to build up the favourite team, regardless of the race.

a further separation was made between good and evil, that involves the Animosity skill between players of the two factions and a 2+ test during blocks to make a player assist his team-mate or the opponent, in case of different factions involved (i.e. if my mummy blocks an opponent human blitzer, the blitzer's team-mate witch elf may chose to help the mummy instead...)

Halving the limit of the positionals sounds interesting, and will lead to a greater diversity. Good vs Evil looks great.
Back to the drawing board for this concept :)
