d68.... whats that?
I came up with this... uses pretty much the same chances for injury, just makes actual death less likely. This is useful in leagues I find... doesn't affect SPP's awarded just the outcome of a casualty.
CASUALTY TABLE (D6)
Roll Effect
1,2,3 Miss rest of game
4, 5 Miss rest of game and next game
6 Serious Casualty (roll D6)
SERIOUS CASUALTY TABLE (D6)
Roll Effect
1 Niggling Injury
2 -1 MA
3 -1 AV
4 -1 AG
5 -1 ST
6 DEAD!!!
What do people think?

I think it needlessly reduces the risk of suffering a permanent injury.
Mind you, if that's what your league wants then I don't see the problem.

my suggestion for a new fouling casualty table (only if the fouler is a stunty):
1 - dead
2 - dead
3 - dead
4 - dead
5 - dead
6 - dead
n.b. these results replace stuns, KOs and all other injuries.

Hi,
it would reduce the real serious injuries to a minimum. If only 1/6 of the injuries are serious and if only 1/6 of them is dead, then the chance for example for a dead player is reduced from 1/6 to 1/36, which is indead an enormous change.
Besides that, you have to think, what apos and regeneration work like. Till now, there is a real chance, that a player uses the apo or needs reg. After that, the pure probability of the event has limited their use. Therefor Wandering Apos and Igors become less useful, too.
If you don't want players to receive that much injuries, there are severals ways, where changing the table is just one. Another way could be to allow 2 permanent apothecaries in your league. You could make the inducements for them cheaper!?
Btw: A nice addition is, that you could use your apo at the least injury, that occurs during the game, even after the game, if the apo is still left.
Greets,
gan
