Nuns and Bunny Girls

Our league is playtesting the following rules for Shadowforges Bunny Girls and Nun teams so I thought I'd throw them out there and see what people thought. Too powerful? Not different enough? Look OK?
Nuns
0-12 Linenuns 6 3 3 8 None G 50K
0-2 Throwers 6 3 3 8 Pass hail mary pass G,P 70K
0-4 Guards 5 3 3 8 Block Dauntless G,S 100K
0-4 Catchers 8 2 3 7 Catch Nerves of Steel G,A 80K
Rerolls 60K
Bunny Girls
0-12 Linebunnnies 6 3 3 7 Dodge G 50K
0-2 Throwers 6 3 3 7 Dodge, Pass G,P 70K
0-4 Catchers 8 2 3 7 Dodge, Catch G,A 70K
0-4 Blitzers 7 3 3 7 Dodge, Block G,S 90K
Rerolls 60K
Basis for the Nuns was obviously the human team with 'Faith' based skills substituted in (The low movement guards are based on the models themselves). The original team had the catchers with dodge (at 90k) too but it seemed a little too powerful so it was removed (However it may be reinstated)
Basis for the Bunnies was that no-one in our league liked the Amazons as they stood

. Before this mass opinion came to light we were going to have a completely separate team but...

The nun catchers are rather powerful starting off with nerves of steel imho

Now imagine what they were like when they had Dodge too
Seriously though I believe the fact that they don't have Dodge, they don't have Blitzer backup (as the Guards are very low movement) and they cost 10k more should just about even them up.
I'm playtesting the Nuns myself as is another member of the group so if they work out over powered then we'll act accordingly
(We are in a league with a lot of house rules but I didn't want that to affect anyones opinion of the team as it stands so didn't go into them)

Remember that a human catcher can only take NoS on a double, whereas this nun catcher can get Dodge as her first skill. I'd say that the nun catcher was considerably superior to the human one. However, the extra 10k might make up for it - I'd be tempted to make them only able to take 0-2 catchers to restrict them further.

Cool idea.... I think there should be more female teams. It might just get more females in the league games.
When you get thekinks worked out of the two 'new' teams, let me know, would ya?
Thanks

the skills your catchers and blitzers on the nun team start with are going to make them quite powerful indeed. i would consider limiting both positions to 2 max, and add 10k to the price of the catcher. can you image 2 catchers on each side of the pitch, both w/ NOS. and they're being protected by 2 blitzers on each side, all w/ block, dauntless? i would check
www.midgardbb.com, i think there's a nuns of sigmar team already there. i think the catchers are also 7ma, instead of 8, and i concur.
as for the bunny team, i would drop the number of blitzers to 2, and leave the catchers at 4. but i would increase the price of both of them, they're just too cheap. add 10k to each. and i would also consider disallowing the bunny blitzers from taking strength skills, give them agility instead.
when creating new teams/players, it is always better to err on the side of caution, than to make a team/player that is clearly overly powerful. i think these suggestions would make the teams worthy of play testing, however, i would not be surprised if they're still too strong. now if only GW had tried this method when they created their khemri...

Slackman have you not noticed that the Bunny girls blitzer is exactly the same as the Amazon one?
There seems to be a trait amongst people who use this board to should 'overpowered!" as soon as a new roster or change is suggested.

I don't like both of the teams. Why make a bunny team that looks like amazons? If you don't like the amazons as they are then change them with one of your house rules, you said you have a lot of houserules.
I also think the nun catchers are very strong but 4 players with dauntless is very good too, isn't it?

The linenuns are standard linemen, so there's nothing to say about them.
The throwers are human throwers with sure hands replaced with the much worse hail mary pass.
The guards are human blitzers who lost two points of movement (which can use every match) to get dauntless (which can only be used against stronger teams). In addition to that, they cost 10k more.
The catchers are human catchers with nerves of steel instead of dodge for 10k more, or elf catchers with one point less ST and one point less AG for 20k less. I'd say that these guys are worse than human catchers. Sure, they can catch the ball on 3+ everywhere, but then what? They can't dodge very well, so they're stuck there. Yes, they can get dodge on their first skill, but human catchers get block on their first skill and are thereby still better. In addition to that, these catchers are the easiest players to knock down in the whole game, so they're not going to live very long.
On top of it all, the rerolls are more expensive than human rerolls. In short, this team will be a challenge to play.

The linebunnies and throwers are like amazon linewomen and throwers, so there's nothing to say there.
The catchers are like human catchers or amazon catchers with two points of movement instead of one point of strength. Since variation makes a team stronger, I think this is an advantage for the bunnies.
The blitzers are like amazon blitzers but with one point extra movement, which again is an advantage.
The rerolls cost 50% more, however. I don't think this cancels out the advantages, though. At least not in the long run.

Code: Select all
Nun Team on Pink Horror's Sheet:
Blocking 60.05
Throwing 60.51
Running 56.60
Potential 61.41
Pricing 44.05
Power 60.42
Value 36.71
Bunny Team on the Sheet:
Blocking 57.62
Throwing 54.69
Running 74.44
Potential 66.64
Pricing 54.06
Power 64.80
Value 59.73
With power and values under 65 points for both teams (by comparison the Human team has Power of 66.82 and Value of 47.40) ... these teams should playtest as fairly balanced.

Strangly this does appear to be the case.
By the way I really Like both these team rosters.

Hmm. No big guy on the nun team? Might balance that a bit but those four catcher will be a pain in the ****. (And die some day so won't matter that much).
The amazon II team will get fast blodgers some day and they'll be hard to stop. Imo 0-2 catcher would be better but that just me again
