Yes, he'd keep his skills, SPPs, and Cost. He'd lose the standard Zombie/Skeleton adjustments, gain Regenerate, and gain the Rot. So he'd be worth the same amount he was earlier, only he has to roll after every game at a -2 modifier to age.
So let's take one example, a freshly killed Beastman Zombie:
4328 Horns, Regenerate, Rot 60K
Umm, a bit over-rated and he starts to deteriorate, because he needs to roll a 5 or higher after every game to avoid ageing.
Let's take a developed Gutter Runner Skeleton:
9236 Dodge, Very Long Legs, Sprint, Sure Feet, Regenerate, Rot 80K
This player also has 35 SPPs, so he's worth 15 TR each game. After every game, he has to roll a 7 or more to avoid ageing. So he'll be good for a handful of games before he gets retired by his coach.
It's something for flavor with a built-in self-destruct mechanism.

Not a bad idea at all, but perhaps the -2 modifier is a bit too much.
I'd say it'd be enough if he has to make an aging roll after each game.
