Cant believe they've not used the Underworld Creepers

Post by McDeth »

Ok using these new mixed race rosters what would you come up with for the Underworld Creepers.

this would mean:

0-12 Goblins ( 40 k )
0-4 Skaven linemen ( 50 k )

Allies: Goblin, Skaven

Big Guys: Rat Ogre, Troll.

Re-Roll ( 80k ?????)

The ally list in this case doesn't allow you to get to the stage where you can get two skaven positional players, so i suggest for this team due to the lack of available allies they get to choose two positional players from the Skaven list as there are no other options outside of goblin on the team list.

So you could come up with

4 Skaven linemen ( 200 k )
1 Skaven Storm Vermin ( 90 k )
1 Skaven Gutter Runner ( 80 k )
1 Rat Ogre ( 130 k )
1 Troll ( 100 k, can t remember if 100 0r 110 )
4 Goblins ( 160 k )
2 Re-Roll ( 160 K )
FF 8

Should make for a few interesting games. The starting roster is maxed out on Skaven, and if i remember correctly there were more goblins than skaven so maybe that should also be part of the final roster. ( IE Must have at least 1 more Goblin player than Skaven in team, If thats the case i'd have to drop a couple of skaven linemen for Goblins, have an apothecary and reduce FF to get to 1000k

There's no point having goblins on the roster then allowing goblin allies, since there's only 1 type of goblin.

I like the idea though. What it needs instead of goblin allies is Secret Weapons.

Bring it on!

Historical Teams Special rules?

Post by CplSaint »

Perhaps historical teams ought to have specific line-ups, (i.e. Reikland Reavers 2478 Season or something) and some flavourful rules...

e.g.

Bright Crusaders:
May never foul. EVER. (Goddammit!)

Underworld Creepers:
-2 on Secret Weapons rolls (using the current rules, this will need to be updated...), so chainsaws are only sent off on a 10+
The Creepers are famous for infighting, so D3-1 players are injured at the end of every drive; roll for injuries right away. In addition, D3+1 are injured if the Creepers are losing!
Fairly harsh, but hey - these are colourful rather than balanced rules! Besides, since the line-up is fixed, the effects will only ever last one game.

The Hobgoblin Team:
All players count as having a Niggling Injury (to represent them getting lost/forgetting thaty're playing etc before they arrive) and count as Boneheaded.

I imagine we could have some fun making up some historical teams - why not have a go? :)

i posted that in another tread already:

But in here is the skaven/gobbo roster we are using in the league:
0/6 gobboz 40k
0/2gobboz catchers (7 2 3 7 dodge catch,right stuff...) 60k
0/6Linskav 50k
0/2Storm vermin 90
0/2Skav thrower 70

Special rules: at each drive, you should roll a dice for each player:
on a '1', we would not play with any player of another race.

I tested it, it is balanced and quite fun sometimes with the '1'...

I would have said

special rule: the skaven cannot take mutations as the goblins keep hiding their warpstone.

The original 3E rules for the team from CJ #7 were:

The Goblins could mutate on doubles.

The PBeM tool was programmed to handle the Crusaders already. We've used rules for this team for a couple years now with great success.
