Just had one now, my halflings vs high elves...

Now, I'm expecting to lose, just playing halflings as a joke sorta, but at least I figure I can put up something of a fight, right?

Game opens with his high elf lineman blitzing my Treeman, 3-dice block, my choice. He rolls a triple-POW... it was all downhill from there...

I may have been taken out in the prosses but its well worth the horrer on my mates face at the chant "He's passed on the jinx!!!!!"

You know we've got one guy in our league like that, even worse than my Goblin luck.

Mind you it's only when he's watching a match, every single time he gives a suggestion to a coach as to what to do. The suggestion looks good and even makes sense, except everytime they try to execute it they are sure to fail in the most horrible of ways. Double-Skulls, death of Player, you name it. :smoking:

We call it having a "Bag O Wheat" dropped on you, in tribute to his nickname.

Even the Goblin coach gets a +1 to injury rolls! Ow!

Worst luck in our league EVER:

Years ago a really good Skaven team (TR 273) with one of the best coaches of the league sitting on the bench was truly massacred. The opponent team (orcs) was TR about 200 and had an average coach (at best).

Result:
DEAD 1. Rat Ogre 6 6 3 9 MBlow, PTail
NIGG 2. Linerat 7 3 3 8 Block, HGaze, DPlayer, Pro
-1 AG 5. Linerat 7 3 3 7
NIGG 6. Linerat 7 4 3 7 Block, Frenzy
DEAD 7. Linerat 7 3 3 7 Block, Dauntless
DEAD 8. Thrower 7 3 3 7 Pass, SHands
DEAD 9. SVermin 6 3 3 8 Block, Guard, Dauntless
DEAD 10. Thrower 7 3 3 7 Pass, SHands, Leader, Block
DEAD 11. GRunner 9 2 4 7 Block, Dodge, Dauntless, SBall, DTackle
DEAD 12. GRunner 9 2 4 7 Block, Dodge, Dauntless, Horns, SBall
NIGG 15. Linerat 7 3 3 7 Tackle, Claws, Block
DEAD 16. Linerat 7 3 4 7 Block

For a grand total of 8 deaths, 3 niggling injuries and a stat decrease.

Team was retired, and the coach just quit BB. When tempted, still swears he will never play again.
I asked him to sign the roster and give it to me. He did, and I have it since then. The last roster of Antonio Roca.

I´ve met him today in the Pro Tour Qualifier (Magic stuff) today and almost got him convinced to play Blood Bowl again. :D

That would be sweet. I´m looking forward to see his 2nd ed skaven team on the pitch again.

There could be if I have a sale on ebay! :D Keep a few 'fun' decks around for amusement and ditch the rest. Personally I think that Pro Magic ruined it for the rest of us, Ban this, restrict that, Type this, Type that .5.
Erosion makes good roach though!

not the pro magic, only those lots of expansion set going out every two month, doing a good deck yourself (i mean without doing the exact copy of the last champion deck) take a lot of time and when you think you re done, they just do a new expansion and kill your whole deck....

That s what stopped me from playing magic.. ha and the money too ;)

About the funniest thing that happened to me was holding an Enduring Renewal/Ashnod's Altar infinite mana combo...I was waiting for the game winning Fireball as my life steadily ticked away..it didn't come so I had to resort to giving myself a million life instead......
...I got decked! :D

Surely that's what Forests (The-Worst-Card-In-Magic) are for.

Only ever used to play down the pub with a couple of mates who were better than me. I did have fun using a variant of Wakefield's Secret Force deck though.

My ex-flatmates (one of whom is the worst bloodbowler ever) got me on to Vampire though. That was a fun game with a few people.

Played a little of that back when it was Jihad (before it was dumbed down for the masses and re-named). Lotta fun multi-player.
And what's wrong with Forests? Used to quite like the G/R Creature/Burn variations with lots of Elves/Birds of Paradise. Ah yes..lay a forest, tap it..Llanowar Elves.
