DW you if you want Canadians to understandyou, you have to say, "eh?" at the end of your sentence. Not "OK?"

So then what you play up north is actually Canadian Football and not Football. We invented football, you changed it. :P :P :P

'Grass hockey'???
Now you're making phrases up..lol! I'm still smiling at your whole 'use the term soccer to avoid confusing the colonials' argument. :)
I suppose you have a point, but it just ain't gonna happen. It's football. We invented it and we'll call it what we like. You say tomato...

I think it's something like "Aquapush"? No doubt it's bad enough to be an Olympic disipline.

I highly doubt that the Superbowl draws more viewers than the World Cup final.

Anyway, I am Canadian and I call it football, not soccer. And I have never heard of "Grass Hockey"... Field Hockey maybe.

Especially when the rest of the world has to be up for work on the Monday morning. Stupid, playing finals on a Sunday! But then it is a "World Championship". Oh I think the Americans might win it again this year.

Maybe the World cup should be renamed "The Rest of the World Cup"

Actually, football was invented in Canada and the US at the same time. Much of what you play now has been invented in Montreal actually. The difference is that you kept some of the good rules we invented, but we kept them all. Your loss.

Dammit! As an Englishman through and through, we play FOOTBALL, nnot soccer, not... well, any other damn name. It's FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL. If you want to call your game by this name use "American", "Canadian" or whatever.

P.S. United are back on track, and coming for our title - maybe. :)

United back on track? :o

They let in 2 goals against a team who would struggle in Division 2 of the Football League.

But I will say that new striker you got who scored his first goal in about 14 hours of football...... just wait.... he may get another one next season!

The Star player was Phil Neville in midfield!

Hey some team!

To be honest I have heard that the Super Bowl is the most watched sporting event in the world.

But to be fair the only place I hear it is on the pre-game shows.

So, Canada invented "good" football? lol

If you say so.

Here's some perspective:

"To put the game's allure in perspective, consider that FIFA expects 41 billion people will watch the World Cup hosted by South Korea and Japan despite the significant time difference between Asia and the large fan bases in Europe and Latin America. Two billion viewers are expected to watch the championship game June 30. Then consider that the last Super Bowl drew a piddling 132 million worldwide."

And...does that mean everyone is going to clone themselves ~7 times before the next World Cup to get ready to watch?
