Living Rulebook 1.3 Released

This is from the official brilliantly designed Blood Bowl forum:

Andy @ Fanatic

"Just to let you guys know that the Living Rulebook 1.3 is now up (or will be later today).

Unless there is something spectacularly wrong (stranger things have happened) then this will be the last update for quite sometime, maybe even until LRB 2 in November.

To be honest if you've printed out 1.2 and do not wish to waste your printer ink then I wouldn't worry about reprinting as the changes are very minor and are literally correcting a few typos and incorrect referencing of page numbers. No new rules have slipped in. Most people will not be able to spot the differences.

Before you ask there is no change log because I simply can’t think of anything more dull than writing reams of paragraphs going "page 10, paragraph 5, changed comma to full stop".

In future updates I will do a change log but only for rules changes and amendments and as there are none in this update there is no change log.

In other news I've had a large bin of the new Blood Bowl Ogres dropped on my desk. I think they’re brilliant, with lots of different poses including a great 'snap' position. I'll try and get some pictures on the website soon, although don't expect to see these released until next year."

So does this mean that the stuff in FAQ has been tossed out for the most part?

Probably not. The FAQ is likely to remain... for reasons I'm unsure of.

Then why is it not in the LRB?

Okay, you're confusing me. The FAQ and the LRB have nothing in common. ...

Well, they little in common.

The FAQ explains in detail most people should understand from simply reading the LRB.

I was under the impression that the FAQ was going to be incorporated into the LRB.
Has this idea been scrapped? Did I hear wrong? What's the story?
Where is the FAQ now? Is it official, and if so, how so?

The FAQ is still the FAQ, but for whatever reason... it's missing from the website. I see what you mean now.

Okay, I'll send a not to Andy and ask what happened to it.

Most ("all" if we're lucky) of the FAQ issues were incorporated directly into the LRB. Examples should include Horns and Frenzy on a second block during a Blitz action and standing up for players with MA < 3.

Cheers!

some things that I miss in LRB 3rd ed.

First of all, I would like to say that to make LRB available to everybody is a great idea. Maybe some day everybody will play with the same rulez!

But I miss a couple of things, that I thought were clear:
1- RatOgre and Troll should be in Skaven and Goblin teams, in the Teams Section.
2- Some say that Big Guys cost double for Gobbos and Halflings teams, I can't find it (only talks about Star Players costing double) 8)

Did they actually add the ACTUAL PAGE NUMBERS to the pages this time? This drives me insane...the ToC has page numbers...but the actual pages don't. Is this just when I print it out, or are they just not there?

The only further request I have is bookmarks so that searching the document is easier.

Just a technical problem here. How come I can't print off the LRB from the GW website? I get to the bit where you have to click the I agree button but then it just comes back again. I would be grateful for help if you know what I am doing wrong. DD.

right click on DOWNLOAD and then select "save target as..."
this will save it to your hard drive and then you can print it from there

If you click the "I agree" button and it just sends you back to the page again, make sure you're not running any software that strips your HTTP Referrer...

I believe it checks this to make sure you've seen the disclaimer screen before it allows you to download. I have a web proxy and it strips this, so I have to shut it off before I can download the LRB.
