Of all the big guys the minotaur is the best by far and the cost isnt even higher. Anyone find that they unballance the game? Trying to determine if I wanna start using big guys in our next season.

thanks

Why do you think Minotaurs are so good?

A lot of people think Wild Animal is the worst handicap.

I like the Minotaur but I think he is far from over powered. He burns me more often than any ogre has!

they cost 110k stats of 5-5-2-8 with mighty blow, frenzy, horns, thick skull, always hungry, throw team mate, wild animal

they get way more than the ogre or troll and wild animal doesnt seem any worse than bone head to get all the extra skills compared with the ogre. actually wild animal seems much better than bonehead and deffinatly better than realy stupid.

Oderus,
Have you used a Minotaur with the current rules? It may look like they have alot but they do not. They are easy to "bait", they spend alot of time throwing 2 dice blocks where the defender gets to choose and until they get block they spend alot of time on their backs. Sometimes, yes, they can kick some real ass, but isn't that the point?
have you had a different experience?

My friend's "Krootitor" (he plays Kroot using the Norse list) has caused him so many headaches he's decided to drop the thing. It's so easy to surround the thing and force it to block disadvantageously.

I imagine it must be pretty frustrating to see the thing hit, fall down and end your turn before you can do anything else. I think it's quite balanced and fine given the massive problem that wild animal can cause.

It's funny when he's up against an ogre or a mummy with friends. They knock him down and back, follow up one. The krootitor gets up blitzes, pushes back, frenzies and know has 2 dice against him. Down he goes. My turn again?

i love Minotaurs, always have. i believe that they are not as good as the rat ogre but i cant help loving them anyway. i have played them quite a lot in recent months and have found that the new wild animal rules are the most severe until now. saying that i managed to get him block in the first game so i was laughing

I agree that the mino's are great but like Pariah said, they are to easy to bait. A good example of this is my last game against Tastons orcs-
Wild animal forced me to block the only player in reach (orc blitzer), rolling a 'both down' and a 'push back'. The blitzer has block so I had to push back, Frenzy ment that I had to follow up and throw another block. The follow up move threw me right into 2 black orcs and a 2nd blitzer that he had waiting in the wind. My mino' didnt see the rest of the game from turn 2 of the 1st half as he was beaten to a pulp by 2black orcs and 2 blitzers.
In the end is a risk you have to take.

Minotaurs the best. heck who have you been playing against.

Even if Wild Animal was a good skill ( Big If ), how can he be better than a Rat Ogre??

I was just wondering what should be a big guys team... Let's imagine an ogre, or a mino team... Guess the number of die rolled !

Do you think they should be used as it, in a BG roster team ?

(I know, this isn't the main topic. Sorry about this ;))

BTW, I don't feel the mino sooo unbalanced than that.

Yes, but that's 4 of his players who aren't stopping you scoring ...
