Monthly Poll:Guess which models GW will be releasing in 2018

Kicking off this monthly poll a little early, as things will be busy with New Year's celebrations! Last month we had that poll, about the Dwarves. Yea, we went there.

It seems they might be all right, as almost half the votes claimed. Otherwise people are pretty split about their love or hate for them (15% of the votes on either side). Another 18% love playing them, but hate playing against them.

Onwards then!

This month's poll is 'Guess which models GW will be releasing in 2018'.

Dwarves

This seems like a hard one. I feel like it could be literally anything! It does seem interesting that pro elves are the only modular team though. Makes me think there may then be upgrade sprues for Dark, High and Wood elves. If so, I'd assume it would make sense for these things to have been developed simultaneously, so that could be something on the horizon.

As super cool as they are, I hope they don't release any more specific team upgrades like the Bright Crusaders. I think they're a great idea, but would rather see them put their resources into releasing every race first before blinging out existing ones!

I haven't been following this, but am I right in saying that pro elves were to be the last plastic team. With future teams being resin and only from Forge World?


Edit - Forgot that Goblins had interchangeable heads too! Hobgoblin heads on a future Chaos Dwarf sprue?

So I think we will get at least one Elf team this coming year, so I voted Dark and Wood, Nurgle needs some love so that too. Beyond that I am guessing blind, didn't expect goblins as who really plays goblins, but it allowed for several teams to benefit from the release of one box (Orc, goblin, underworld) So it made sense even if not an obvious choice.

There has to be at least one team coming from a DZ3 release, so we either get an Undead team or something from the Amazon/Norse etc group, So I voted Necro just because.

Yes! And before doing alternative teams, I'd much rater have completed the teams that are out (with booster packs for positionals). Right now I have 2 incomplete human teams and 2 incomplete orc teams

I'm wondering what makes them decide which teams to complete. Skaven got a lot of love, Goblins got some. Still missing positionals for humans x2, orcs x2 and goblins (+ 2nd troll).

One of the released Big Guys is the Minotaurus. For me this means we will see a regular Chaos team along Dz3. Nurgle before that along all the AOS / 40k Nurgle releases...

We already know the next release is Nurgle.

Also, we've seen the sculpt for the 2nd Blood Bowl troll.

There's a big release for Nurgle for AoS but that doesn't mean the next BB team is Nurgle.

I see two ways for this to go: Either with a new Deathzone or not. If there is a new DZ, a good theme would be undead. Therefor one of the strong undead teams would be ideal to release with it. If a new team comes before that, the current trend towards all things nurgle along with the rules being around for a while now makes nurgle very likely. Although there also could be a chaos chosen box that would make a good base for converting a nurgle team, too.
