Hi! My name is Taureau Amiral and I'm a teacher and a blogger at https://bloodbowlstrategies.com.

I've been blogging since 2014, mostly in French, to help struggling fellow coaches get better at Blood Bowl. Last year, I began translating old articles in English ... In my opinion, rather poorly. Obviously, I'm not a great translator. Seeing that, I changed my approach and now primarily write in English and then translate to French. It took a few articles to (approximately) find my bearings and I think it's getting better and better.

At first, bloodbowlstrategies.com was meant to live in the wide web's shadows. It was to be a secret only for the initiated. But readers and friends recently encouraged me to push it to the light. Some even took the initiative to do it themselves. So be it.

Now, you probably think that everything has already been written about Blood Bowl. Not at all! The vast majority of online content is relevant only to rookie coaches and absolutely none deals with the state of mind. As a Blood Bowl teacher, I've found that coaches looking to progress must first approach the game with the correct "mindset". As a result, I mainly tackle philosophical aspects interjected with tactical and strategic articles.

Here are my last two offerings to Nuffle and to the community. In the hope that some of you will find something useful.

I wrote a new article targeted at stagnating veteran coaches. It flew out of my keyboard... it seems Nuffle really wanted me to write this piece of work.

Thanks for all the encouragements! Writing articles takes a big chunk out of my "spare time" (does such a thing exists?).

Here's a new article focused on deceptive tactics. It's the introduction to a series of six that will cover feints, ruses, and metagaming.

If you're looking for me, I'll be behind my keyboard.

Some new-news!

Playbooks are a massive time investment! I currently have a few more at various stages of completion! If only I had some more free time to finish them. :-)

Also, I know these posts are not the most popular as coaches are looking for more straightforward information and "step by step" guides. Still, I feel they are a must.

Finally, did you take a look at the Up and Under tale from professional fantasy author Ian H. McKinley? It's inspired by Blood Bowl. Instead of adopting a "tongue in cheek" approach, it's written "realistically". He's supported by resident illustrator Meunier. Some stunning work from both of them! A new episode is published each week... usually on Fridays!!!
