NAF position on new halfling positionals?

Hi!

I've had a quick look but can't see this topic (apologies if not looked hard enough).

1) With the new halfling positionals, what impact does this have in relation to NAF tournaments? Up to the tourney organiser to choose whether old or new halfling team or official NAF position?

2) Does the new halfling team still count as a stunt team as its clearly an improvement?

cheers!

Leslie

Hello. As per any of the ongoing Spike! releases, the new Halfling positionals / stars (when released) will be available for use at the discretion of the TO (assuming, that is, the field has had time to absorb the new rules. It wouldn't be very sensible to include the stuff on a weekend if the book is released on the Thursday, for instance). In November, we conduct our Annual Review process, where these items will (very probably, I expect) be added to our mandatory NAF Team List. I think the use of the new stuff should be encouraged, not least because it helps inform that AR!

The NAF doesn't dictate what is or what is not included in the field for a Stunty Cup, TOs do. That said, new Stunty positionals don't appear to change the status of Halflings as a Stunty team to me, so my advice would be no change here.

Cheers!

I would say they still count; the players are still Stunty.
The Goblins got an upgrade (one that I think is a little OP, but that's not for here and is just my personal opinion) and are still Stunty Cup contenders everywhere.
What will the Ogres get?

This post made me think of a doomdiver ogre flying ungracefully through the air. Pretty sure a snotling one would make more sense (even if it would still be dumb) but the ogre came to mind first.

Hopefully some unique ogre positional (i..e not just block tagged on) . Maybe an ogre blocker with SF built in and slower

Else a new mechanic like 12 players on the field (was that not a thing before).
