I'll never check them, since they have lost my luggage one too many times.....it really sucks when you sit at the game table in the same sweaty close you wore since yesterday and try to proxy your players with popcorn :(

I only got stopped once last year at Baden-Airport when I was flying to London. But they let me go through after I showed them what the minis were....the Ogre just looked to dangerous between all the plastic minis ;)

I got stopped on my way through at Schipol after the Dutch Open this year. They let me through after a quick chat. That's the only time I have had trouble with figures as carry on.
:o strange. They found my team in my backpack, but not the few chaos dwarfs I forgot to take out of my jacket. Compared to other airports, Schipol was not very secure... :-?

I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.

i've taken 40k figures out to the us (mostly plastic) -- they were in a gw case in my backpack, (rather large backpack btw) but i just opened it up and they let me thru...

When i got the us side, had a bit more trouble, they demanded that i removed them all so they could check the foam for "concealed items"...

Didnt have as much trouble getting back into the uk i must admit, but still, just keep them easy to get at, thats the best way

The very idea of terrorists conspiring to hijack international flights using Blood Bowl figurines is hilarious.

Terrorist: We control the airplane! THERE IS A GUTTER RUNNER AT THE PILOT'S THROAT AND A LION WARRIOR POINTED AT HIS CHEST!

Negotiator: What is that, some sort of weird code?

Terrorist: No, it's like a little mousey thing and a little kinda sort of elfy guy. With sharp ears. VERY SHARP EARS! DO NOT INTERFERE!

Negotiator: So you're threatening the crew members with little minature elves.

Terrorist: A skaven and an elf.

Pilot: They're really rather colourful.

Terrorist: They don't come painted, you know. You have to do them yourself.

Pilot: My goodness. The detail on that goober rutter is amazing. Look at the fur. Lifelike!

Terrorist: Thank you! It's a "gutter runner," actually.

Negotiator: What the hell is going on in there?

Pilot: You should see these things. The elfy one has kind of a sunburst motif.

Negotiator: Is this that "Stolkholm Syndrome" thing I hear about?

Terrorist: DO NOT INTERFERE!

good job... never thought of it that way... but still, the concept of an airline pilot being attacked by a deathroller has some appeal :D
