Da' Beez Neez a Greezy Sleez - Neomics Goblin Team

Post by Aflo »

Hey everyone, thought it was about time I made a forum post on these.

They actually scooped best painted at the 2012 Welsh Open which was nice, however that was also before the last couple of gobs and the fanatic was added so if you saw them in person back in Feb chances are you'll notice some additions. Here are the Beez:

The trolls: The 2nd ed one has been fairly extensively converted to bulk up his normally quite outdated musculature (also with the addition of the trademark spiked helmet of the Beez) while the one converted from the Warhammer river troll was 'Blood Bowl-ified' with sculpted shoulder pad, helmet and sculpted banner he presumably nicked from a cheerleader.

The special weapons: Stock miniatures from Neomics but I thought it'd be fun to do a bit of freehand on the fanatic's ball. There's also a wee bit of OLS on the bombadier's fuse but it's hard to make out in these pictures.

Da Snotskwad: Scratch sculpted chainsaw using some old snotling minis and a 40k ork chainsaw head. I had this image of this squabbling bunch of midget reprobates, stumbling towards enemy lines swinging this over sized saw with suprising glimpses of either brilliant team work or insane luck. You can't make out the eyes too well but they also add to the effect! My favourite part is the little snot on the wooden platform next to the chainsaw head who wildly swings his machete whenever he gets near enough :D

Goblins and Pogo: Converted with spiked green stuff helmets where lacking to fit the theme. Again, alot of the character is in the eyes so it's a shame I couldn't get them to come out on camera but you get the gist.

I decided to put these guys on ebay to get some last minute funds for my big trip to Asia (4 days en counting) so if you think you might want to own the Beez be my guest to put a bid in: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221009066565? ... 1423.l2649

Any questions and I'll be happy to answer!

Cheers,

Adam

Amazing! :D

They're all good, and the freehand on the B&C is very nice, but the 'Snotsaw' wins the prize for me, as it's probably the most insane 'secret' weapon I've seen! :orc:

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

@Dr. Von Richten: Cheers! My own favourite aswell - insane is good :)
@Heff: Ah they were always meant to be sold and it would be rubbish having to come home early for the sake of a couple hundred quid or whatever. Yeh same here. It's fairly crumbly metal and it snapped on mine too so I had to pin it in the end.
@Lunchab1es: Thank you. Absolutely - the more the merrier :)

Under 12 hours to go on the auction...go on... :D

Absolutely stunning! Those goblins are fantastic and the paintjob is even better. I do not approve of "muscling up" what I think is one of the best troll sculpts ever, but as far as I can tell I am quite alone on this :)

Great work!
