Re: Bull Centaurs?
This Heresey FF Ghoul painted green looks like it would be an awesome hobgoblin. The rest of Heresey's ghoul line could probably be used as well, and it gives them a unique hob-feel (ie, they're not just big goblins or small orcs or whatever else). I've seen these painted goblin-green to be used as ghouls in undead teams, and the first thing I thought was "wow, that'd be one hell of a hobgoblin."

Here's my attempt, I used the Gaspez Pact players combined with GW ghoul heads and hands as well as some plastic shoulder pads.snakees wrote:

Did anybody find a solid alternative for Hobgoblin ? Please...

Re: Bull Centaurs?
One could always kitbash some hobgoblins via the popular "goblin heads" + "humanoid body" route. This was my old attempt (using ghoul arms/hands):

I use the impact gnols, need a bit of converting but they are really nice!snakees wrote:Your centaur looks realy awesome ! FW convertion are definitly the best option for chaos dwarf if you have money !inkpwn wrote:Here's my bull centaur conversion if you want to see how a FW torso looks on a GW bull centaur body.

There is plenty good figures for dwarf, mino and centaur but the only reason that I can't start a chaos dwarf team is that all the hobgoblin figures are bad...

Re: Bull Centaurs?
Yea, I went with bodies from Bretonnian bowmen (hence needing to use ghoul arms to replace the often awkward bowmen stance). I simply choose them because they were readily available and cheapest at the bitz place, but men-at-arms or Empire flagellant bodies probably would have been easier to work with. Nevertheless, I'm happy with how they've turned out so far (though the team is still on the back burner so they haven't received any detail sculpting or painting yet).petitgars wrote:Very cool ones!
Bretonnians ones, i guess?

Re: Bull Centaurs?
The bretonian hobgob are realy good.
I made my choices for my team :
- centaur (forgeworld chaos dwarf daemonsmith + GW bull + mutated hand from gazpez)
- dwarfs (forgeworld chaos dwarf infernal guard + mutated hand from gazpez)
- hobgob (empire flagellant + night goblin head + 40k chaos space marine shoulder)
- minotaur (chaos minotaur from willy miniature I have to wait until april...)
The empire flagellant have arms with big muscle. I'll see if they are too much, I'll try ghoul arms perhaps

On the second picture, you can see one of my hobgob, i have used impact miniatures (desert dogs) +GW goblin head (the big ones) + milliput. The dwarf are GW convert. The bull are gaspez one.

Re: Bull Centaurs?
here is my first bull centaur. It still need some green stuff work:

In rules centaur can't have mutation but it's the best solution I found to replace his hand handling a weapon :
