Mk1881 Cabiri team boxart painted on commission!

Post by axia »

Hi guys! Finally we made it! The Mk1881 Miniatures Cabiri team is finally ready and the boxart revealed! It was a pleasure to paint this team, the sculpt is awsome and the poses are amazing! I love especially the "acrobat guys" I think that there the concept artist and the sculptor had put an extra effort in the design and creation of the minis! I choose a "standard" green main color for them since they are woody elves and I've used the yellow and beige as contrast color, along the pale skin that matchs well with the elven nature. Hope you like them! As always comments and critics are welcome, I accept commissions! Cheers!

I'm definitely not a fan of the minis but brushwork is, as always, excellent.

Nice paint job.

FYI. I don't like the minis either. They are too acrobatic, some of the poses are just not what I think a fantasy sports player - even an Elf - would do and they look impractical for use on the tabletop. Maybe nice in the cabinet, but not nice to play with.

This sums it up pretty well.
The team looks more like a gymnastics team rather than hardened Blood Bowl veterans.
In the end it is a matter of personal taste, right?

Agreed on all points.

But the paint job is amazing, as always.

I'm sorry that the minis doesn't remember you blood bowl players, I've always imagined the elves as very acrobatic and "light" team, at least after seeing them in blood bowl II videos :( Thank you for the compliments for the paint :D If you want to ask anything about it feel free to do!!
