Is this a good deal for a paint kit to start with

not a bad deal, imo. my paint collection is like that. i have about 180 bottles of paint. testors, poly-s, tymia, folk art, apple barrle, gw, etc. i've been painting miniatures since 1977, so i have tried so many different brands, and i keep saying one day i will buy a complete set, like gw or something like that. heck, i have a complete box set of the first gw inks, from early 1990's. never opened, because i have so many inks/washes.
i will say that those little glass bottles of testors paint are rough on brushes, so those are pretty much sh*ters...
you made out good, i;d say.
