And it doesn't change my mind. Not even a bit.
I agree with you, Regash.

I just meant from a legal standpoint. You are definitely entitled to your opinion. Also how close are these handpainted illustrations to the fumbbl ones? Anyhoo, I just wanted to try and shed some light on the issue of copyright. I did some fanart at one point and got worried that I might infringe on some rights. So I researched a bit, and found out that when you change the medium it muddys up a lawsuit for example. If you do crossover stuff (I did a film as a SCUMM computer game) it muddys it up. And if you do it as a parody, it can't be considered as competitive towards the original idea.

As far as I know, a parody, if clearly recognizable as such, is always okay to make.

When I was severly entangled in Blizzards World of Warcraft, I actually did write 1 1/2 fan-fictions about an orc hunter and I "published" them in a fan-forum all about WOW-hunters.
That was when my senses kicked in and I thought about copyright infringements, so I checked Blizzards website and what they had to say about copyrights and fan art / fan fiction.

Believe it or not, Blizzard completey forbid to do any kind of fan stuff, no matter what.
But they also said that it is their decision about what they start legal measures.
In other words, they said, whatever you do, we did not allow it. But if you're lucky, we won't sue you.
I am pretty sure that Blizzards lawyers do know their business so I guess you actually can do something about it and it is no grey zone. Or maybe it is if you didn't forbid any kind of copying beforehand.

So, I call myself lucky that I never got a letter from Blizzards legal department but will in the future not even think about doing anything that even smells of copyright infringements.
Maybe Apòstol should feel lucky too and just find a way of doing something of his own or pay artists to do so for him.
And maybe he should pray every night that GW stays unaware of a game version that they, in all probabability, did not license...

Thanks WhatBall for your post.

I already made a new design for the players of the Mini-BB. I just sent you an email with more details about it. This new design is handmade painted. Instead, the original design you and your friends made is digital, as you know. Therefore, it can not be said that is the same design. With that said, I wish to thank somehow all the designers involved with the original design. I hope we can make an agreement in that direction. Please let me know.
Pictures or it didn't happen
