That rat ogre is 10 times better in real-life. No offence to the photographer, but that fails to do it any justice. I can't talk about the technicalities of sculpting, but from a purely aesthetic point of view it's one of the nicest miniatures I've seen for a long time. I bought a gw rat ogre a couple of weeks after seeing it and I definitely prefer the green.
It is a ref underneath I believe. If I have one minor negative it could be that the ref seems a bit 'flat' - but then you would be with an ogre stood on you... I feel almost embarassed to point out that minor dislike because the rest is awesome, but saves me being accused of bias

Thanks for the comments... More photos to follow after the weekend. Hopefully by then the gutter runners and the apothecary might be ready to paint!

The ref under the rat ogre was sculpted a long time ago, so he is a bit simplistic - no time to sculpt another one though. Only two weeks until the tournament :o

I hope salute doesn't get in the way too much this weekend, I'm keen to see what you do with the gutter runners

Congrats!
The rat ogre is looking very very nice indeed!
And that makes me wonder about the rest of the team...
From the pics I can see that there was some sculping in the bodys of the "regular" skaven, bur they're not close enough to tell what was done...
It would be nice if you could post some pics with more detail of the bodys and a "snapshot" of the whole team!
thanks

Cheers
Axt

I've got a bunch more pictures Mike took on my camera. Don't think he will mind me posting them. This may take a while on dialup

They look great, especially the one with the "Ate all the pies" physical mutation.

Thanks for putting those up Emberbreeze

The idea with these guys was to create a team where nearly all the players are unique in some respect or other, whilst maintaining the overall theme. It's taken bloomin' ages, but they are finally coming together now, and I think they've pretty much came out how I hoped they would. I'll try to take a few photos when they are all finished after the BB, hopefully I will have had my camera replaced by then!

I have to thank Slinky78 for inspiration on the colour scheme, but I am pleased with how it's turned out! I'm sure his Chaos dwarves wont mind having had their kit stolen... Nearly there, but only 5 more painting evenings to get this lot finished :-?
