Sorry, but I wouldn't bid on self-made limited BB minis. You should keep such open-ended money issues out of this business. That kills all passion and the fun of it.

If it's for charity, sell them for a given price, one piece per person. Or do trades for legal GW-minis and sell those.

Take an example of Galak's limited ed mini or Fondu's minis.

Maybe I'm an old fashioned leftist oddball but that's my opinion.

I don't understand the difference, why trade for something and then sell it for charity, when I could sell the 1st thing anyway?

I'm sure people will bid for it and some charity (TBD) will be happy with the money. I really don't see your point. Of course you are free not to bid as is everyone

edit, and it isn't a BB model, it is a fantasy football model

Well, I'd bid on that mini. It's great mini and I like it.

I'm very excited to see all these great minis being designed and some even making it into molds and produceable minis. I'm kind of hoping to see more minis in this genre but we need to support our sculptors in their projects by buying their minis.

If you sell one of these let me know. I'd really like to have one.

To clearify my point: by auctioning off a limited self-sculpted Fantasy Football mini you don't contribute to the BB community, you're just selling a couple of unique minis to collectors who are ready to shell out the money for that.
Don't get me wrong, it's your mini and you can do what you want and giving the money to the charity proves that you're not after the money. Anyway, even I like that wight mini much and would be more than willing to pay a fixed price and buy 1-2 of those I wouldn't enter a bidding war here or at ebay.
Obviously I have quite a different opinion about this than most others here but saying "hi, we have sculpted an unique mini and you can have it if you win that auction" is not cool IMHO. Either keep it as tourney rewards etc or circulate it among the community for a fixed price.

i like the mini too and would prefer to buy it at a fixed price. I think an auction I'd just be competing against others on this board and the mini wouldn't be worth that much to me. Plus between the fees ebay charges you, I think you'd actually make more $$ just selling fixed anyway.

Only nut job collectors are really gonna want it anyway......how many people search "fantasy footbal fig" in ebay. ...probably none. But once you put Blood bowl in your title.......watch out for lawsuits.

problem is, we will only be selling a couple of spares. So how do you set a fair price and who do you 'choose' to sell it to if more than 2 people are interested.

an auction is the only fair way, and if you end up paying more concider it a charitable donation :)

We got this cast to give away at the tournament, and that is what we will do 1st :)

begining to wish I hadn't brought this up now :o

I agree here with gken. As there are not many of thoses minis around it will be a quite high price anyway... mostly the fanatic collectors (like me ? ) will be willing to pay a price like this. But biding against other TBBs collectors.... :-?
an auction is the only fair way
... maybe fair for the collectors here.

Maybe ... and yes, i knew it´s difficult to decide... you can post here a price you want to reach at last for one of those minis . Than everybody can pm you one bid, what he want to pay (or can pay) for one mini. The ones with the highst bids will get the minis ?

Anyway, if you sell one of these, please let me know.

Can you cast more? I don't think it would reduce it's incentive as a prize and I know that there are several of us who would offset the cost of spinning a few more. The molds are already made.

I love the way this model actually looks like a "wight" as I see them.. floaty and deadly like they ought to be... as opposed to just upgraded skeletons...

huge kudos to the sculptor, I hope he/she does a lot more of this kind of stuff... and soon!
