I printed my logo off on paper and took some thick clear plastic and cut out each colour on a separate piece. Then just like silk screening, i took each piece and air brushed the color directly onto the static grass. Some of the colours I had to paint (white) and others I had to touch up. It looks really neat once it's fully done. I can't wait to do that to my other pitches for my other teams. :D

I am glad you asked...
I am currently doing a super detailed step by step for our website under our how to... section.
Everything was made from polystyrene and hand carved. Again, I will have step by steps up after each stage.

you said you used an xacto to score the lines. i would think that would make a very thin line. did you use one of the special blades? thanks

No.... I have a very thin blade. What i did was cut on a 45 degree angle along one side of the line and then on a 45 degree angle on the other side. That gives the "V" shaped indent.

is that 2" pink board? and do you use a thin ply wood base so it does'nt warp? and lastly, what kind of paint do you recommend?

Sallacious -- be sure to give Bound For Glory lots of info-- he's the one who hooked us up with extra block dice!

2 inch pink board would be very nice. I believe all the rain city boards are 1 or 1.5 inch with extra pieces to build up the dugouts. I don't believe they're mounted on any sort of board underneath-- and i've never noticed warping.

For paint, there's lots of options-- if you have the space, priming in houehold latex paint works fine. Alternatively you could go for some craft paint. For painting the logo or any other detail, craft paint or miniature paint would be a good pick-- i generally find using miniature paint on terrain to be a bit of a waste considering its cost though.
