Loincloth is a big improvement and does make him less skinny!
Way to go

So, all the greenstuff work was completed last night - here's a dodgy gloomy pic:

The loincloth sculpting looks pretty scrappy in the pic, but it's fine in real life. I'll be aiming to do some more painting over the weekend - probably the 3-legged kicker up next :)

Great conversion work. I really like this team. Especially the obese rat - very original!

It looks like this could be the away strip of my own Miami Mice

I'd like to see this one with a lick of paint!...I'm ready to bet it'll probably be one of my favourites together with the thrower and the first fat rat.

@horekim: thanks! Your rats are one of my very favourite colour schemes; beautifully painted. The strip does indeed look like your away strip - must be a good colour combination ;-)

@Aino : I'll be as quick as I can with the paint ;-)

See - now it looks like I just copied the strip! I just used a colour wheel - honest!

I did some totting up facts and figures last night on the project:

- total models to date (including coaching staff and counters - some of which I still need to show you!) = 25
- total number of separate donor models = 47
- total project cost to date = £191 (dear God!)
- average model cost (excluding greenstuff, paint, flock etc) = £7.64
- time estimate to date (converting) = 63 hours
- time estimate to date (painting) = 27 hours
- total project duration to date = 6.5 months

At least I don't need to spend any more cash, I just need to double the amount of painting time ;)

I decided to take a little break from painting the players to paint up something else a bit different. OK, not that different, but he's not wearing armour!

He still needs his base finished off (as ever!)

Yep - he's an old plague priest, with the weirdest face you've ever seen - no discernable nose, weeping sores, boils and goitres all over the place.

Actually, to be technically correct, he's two plague priests/monks ;)

Thanks - undercoated him last night - I have a feeling he might jump the paint queue :)

Last night I did a host of odds and sods to help progress the team; part of the basing of the coach (he just needs drybrushing and flocking), undercoated all the remaining models which need painting & based coated a couple of re-roll counters. That actually didn't take very long, but I was left with a bunch of models drying and nothing else to get on with, so I started to root around in my box of parts.

If all goes to plan, I'll be bringing these guys to the NAF Championship in 2013, so clearly I need a display base. I'd had some initial thoughts about what I could do, but then decided on a simple approach - the team will be lined up, having their photo taken :)

After matching a few arms, a body and a Dixon Miniatures Old West Photographer, this was the result:

What else could I have done with a headless and armless plague monk? ;)
