Yes serg-natos, it is working.

I think both teams look great, excellent works both of them. Personally I love the Imperial/Estalian/Bretonnian one, but I also love the dogs of war WFB army (those halflings remind me of that army) that has been disappeared for a few years... :orc:

That last one you showed I'd get to use as the star player Puggy Baconbreath.

What is the reason to mix two completely different teams in this post?. Personally I like Poncho teams and see their evolution,

Joining these miniatures I think is to take advantage of the fame of Poncho and effort of many years of work, to advertise other.

It might be worth starting a separate thread for the other fling team. It could get quite confusing especially with stuff like trees and star players.

I fear they may cannibalise sales from each other which would be a shame. I’ve seen some very mediocre models do well on kickstarter or indiego, so I hope both of these are successful, we need to encourage this level of sculpting and creativity.
Flings have quite a small but devoted following which hampers sales as well.

I suppose you're not saying that for me, as I wasn't the one who posted the first Halflings of the 2º team ¬¬

But both range are being sold by Willy Miniatures, the same brand, right so there ain't no "passing off" or freeloading off brand image here, unless Willy sues himself: The case of Willy vs Willy. One English law students would remember... puerile ones anyway.

Also, the more I look at the second team the more I like it. A few food snips (not a fan of the funny halfling eating while playing a game that could kill him) as in like weapons snips and I'm starting to slide to the other team for my purchase. :)

Just to be clear, the other means the second team, not PR's team. I need to see a pic of the whole team to make up my mind, but PR's team is no longer a done deal for me.

My two cents... "Thank you!" followed closely by "Just hurry up and sell me all those minis!"

These are two really fine looking teams. Really. Fine.
I knew I'd grab PR's team right away, as I am a fan of his work. I am so impressed with his new treeman (see below).

Seriously, who could complain about more of this kind of quality? Serg-natos, your take on the 'Flings has made you a new fan. Love your guys' look. So much character. On a side note, numbers on the armour... nice touch! I'll be waiting to throw my money at you. Cheers!

I'll have two new teams to paint and play some seriously fun halfling vs halfling games with friends and my son. Again, thank you for the miniatures. Well done.

Is that Treeman 'wearing' metal armour plates? Somehow that doesn't make sense to me.

Looks like the coach just nailed/drilled them straight into his woody body, which to me is pretty cool.

I love the sculpt, it looks awesome! I had no reason to ever buy a halfling team as I won't ever get around to playing them but this thread might make me buy some anyways...(to go with the scotlings that I picked up and don't use either! :) )

The halfling peeking out of the treeman's back is either truly disturbing or truly fantastic.
Fantastically disturbing? Hmm... I'll take two please!

Oh, here's the group shot.

I assume that's deeproot and there will be an option for the original Willy treemen in the indiegogo... would be a shame to pass over the excellent sculpts that already exist...

Oh, I love the Treeman mini, and the Halfling team. I'm sure I'll buy them eventually.

Fluff-wise though I think of wood and metal as polar opposites, so a Treeman, who is made of wood wouldn't want metal drilled into him.

Totally something I've made up though. Then again, we are talking about a tree that's playing football! :D

I think metal armor for a treeman is fine.

The halflings are an animal life form with cells without cell walls: they use metal for armor
The Treeman is a plant life form with cells with cell walls: seems they would be just as likely to use metal armor.

the halflings & treemen share a lot more in common with each other than with metal, if it's fine for one, seems fine for the other.

Honestly, it's the GW treeman with wooden armor that strikes me as odd.. like a human strapping someone's rib cage to their shoulder for armor.
Didn't think of Treemen as such chaotic-cannibalistic types ;)

More often I could imagine a treeman just not wearing any armor at all- they don't need it. but guess it gives a good chance to tie them in with the team, and if they'd have armor at all, then seems it'd be like the rest of the team's.

Heh heh!

You make some good points Pitch Invader. I was thinking that bark strapped to Treemen was more akin to a human strapping on someone else's skin than their rib cage, but that doesn't exactly sound much better! :D
