Yep that’s correct, the head is from the newest plastic Stealer kit. They even have a head with fleshhooks that has a tongue shooting out, which would be ideal for either blitzers or catchers. The eyes are from the Chaos spawn kit, you get 4 eyes with lids 2 of which I used in that conversion.

The difficulty will be differentiating between the linemen, catchers and blitzers. The plastic kits are easy to reposition so that could kelp and Impact do some nice mitts for the catchers. Maybe topknots and 2 shoulder pads for the blitzers? The shooting tongues could either suit the blitzers to represent diving tackle or the catchers if they use it to assist catching the ball.

I was thinking the Broodlord would make an excellent Kroxigor, remove his 2 small scything talon arms, add some bulging eyes, a shoulder pad and loin cloth and raid the spawn kit to give him a more substantial prehensile tail and you are done.

What a cool mix of bits spubbbba, congrats!

As you mention, a couple of shoulder pads (or some extra bits of armour) might help to differentiate the blitzers.
For the catchers, maybe if you like to work with green stuff, you could give them any extra feature (tongues for example -> diving catch), or simply a non skill related frogy feature that helps to tell them apart (bigger mouths, more dynamic pose, etc).

And than you can consolidate all those differences in the painting stage, using clearly different schemes in each positionals.

Flesh hooks definitely sound more blitzer like, feeder tendrils for catchers would work as well. The Broodlord sounds like a good size for the Krox, smaller than normal St 5 but believable at that Strength.

Good work sann - thanks for the photo and the inspiration.

It appears that converted Kroot is definitely a good way to go and I may have thought of that myself but as I haven't played any WH for quite a few years I'd never heard of the little fellas.
