hi guys, yeah inkpwn got it. my troll is a island of blood rat ogre with a black orc banner top as a head. I cut off the tail, shoulder canister and the jagged "claw" and put a minotaur hand. the goblin is a gnoblar head and gnoblar loincloth with goblin wolf rider legs attached. then I used greenstuff to fill all the gaps including sculpting his jaw line, neck and hair on the back of his head, non of which are visible in the pic.

Ive also converted the other rat ogre to be a troll but I gave that model to my friend. it is a much less involved conversion. it was pretty much a head swap with a spare troll head. shave the neck down a bit and pin the head so the model can take abuse. Ill see if I can get my buddy to take a pic of it if you guys are interested.

with both conversions I repositioned the head for a more dynamic look.

*edit: Ive also converted the battle for skull pass troll which was done for a different friend. that was a poor looking troll to start with but I gave it a more dynamic pose so he is throwing the goblin like a football.

Gold - Norse's Ogre because:
It is a clean paintjob with striking colours.
I like the skintone a lot (of the whole team in fact)
+ It's an efficient conversion

Silver - The Solitaire's Minotaur
There seems to be some great blending going on there. With a better picture I guess The Solitaire might have gotten gold.
I like the head a lot but am not fond of the rest of the miniature (wings and Bloodbowl ). Great conversion though!

Bronze - ilFranz's Wights
Clean paintjob, great picture. Very impressed with the result of "only using 1 colour" for the complete kit. The complete team is looking superb too by the way.

Yeah, it's an option when creating the poll, during the first Golden Football I got a lot of comments saying people cast their vote for the wrong person or that they wanted to change it in hindsight.

My cellphone had to do for the time I was without a notebook. The flash on the cellphone does blend out a lot of detail unfortunately

I´m not posting them as pictures because I think that would be unfair as the rest of the entries were all in in time as well and my pictures just weren´t.

you already got my vote, but the new pics help.. I love the blending from pink into blue, really eye catching stuff and lovely conversion too.. I doff my cap and concede defeat good sir!

@Norse, Thnx. The blends, especially on those textured wings were a bit tricky. I ended up using more water then paint and blend from pink to blue in one palette, then wash with both colors and blend them from one end to the other afterwards.

The reason to put wings on him was because the great Cthulhu has wings, so if I were to include a tentacle faced big guy in the team, wings were a must.

Smaller wings would have done the trick as well, but I only had these available at the time.
No defeat yet though, the poll is still running
