Golden football, Unsung heros poll!

Post by nurglerot »

I must admit, I felt the same way as Inkpwn initially, but then I thought about a bit more. If Gus' daughter wins the competition this month, then it will almost certainly be a one-off thing, as someone else also pointed out. The novelty factor can only come into play once, and if somebody entered a similar mini next month, I don't think it would get many votes.

I also think that part of the fun of this competition and Blood Bowl in general is the fact that everything is a bit mad and quirky. I don't necessarily vote for the model I think is painted the best, but often the one with a lot of character or the mini that is just a great find that nobody else had thought about.

I've only entered a mini once as I've had a lot of family obligations the past year, but I plan on entering the contest as regularly as I can. I think it is a great idea, and it helps me to stay motivated, so I would very much like it to continue.

Please keep up the great effort Inkpwn :)

Admittedly yes I did take this from only my point of view which was selfish. The golden football will continue, I was feeling pretty damn awefull earlier.
I should really know not to overstep my boundry as 'admin' of this event.

Keep painting and drop in some entrys for down in the dugout, I'm hopeing my jim and bob arraive in time to paint.

Oh! That was unexpected. Never thought I could beat Gus daughter, (or any/many of your other guys). I am very happy. The celebration will have to come during this weekend.

As for the theme, could we do the big bad blitzing bully?
A "strong" player? Definition ST4. That is plenty of models and positions to chose from for the painting. Or have we already done that?

I wrote up about alt. positions a while back, ST4 players and all the things that don't fit into other catagorys, troll slayers, wardancers, werewolves e.t.c Would that be ok for you or did you just want ST4 players?

Well done Lard, my next team is going to be Nurgle and I'm already formulating many foul ideas... may enter this time around if I can find a mini.

They fit nicely in the: "big bad blitzing bully" idea so all good. The meanest non-big guy on the team was my thinking.

This was going to be my suggestion; glad someone else had the talent to be able to make it! :D
