Your Favorite Flock (Enhancing Your Bases)

Up until now, I've been using plain GW modeling flock, but now I want to take things to the next level. I'd like to try out static grass. It seems perfect for Blood Bowl models, but I know there are a lot of different kinds out there. What kind do you use? Legacy Station sells big value cannisters for $8.99 from Woodland Scenic. Fantization Miniatures is carrying leaf litter and die cut leaves. I believe there is even snow flock that can be added to bases. Wouldn't it be cool to use the snow effect on the Norse team, and maybe the leaves with the Wood Elf team? I'm interested in hearing what items and merchants you guys have used to enhance your bases. Feel free to post some images. Thanks.

Indigo did some great snow bases you can do a search for.
I have been doing a lot of AstroGranite bases lately.

I just use flock grass.
I cover the base in wood glue and then dip it in the fake grass and voilĂ ! as Easy as it can be...

Usualy I start with some rocks or sand glued to the base painted balack then painted to look like dirt, then I paint the grass part goblin green and glue GW flock around on the green parts, when the flock is still on the wet glue I dip the base in static grass. This gives a nice feeling of turf.S.

SKULLS

. worth every penny to buy a few skull packs from <insert favorite minature company here>. Nothing says bloodbowl like a starplayers base littered with the crushed skulls of his enemy players. I'm going to add different skulls/heads for kills on my mummy bases for khemri. Every kill will get a new skull with the number of the player painted on it.

You should use 'cork' !!!
Paint it a little bit and combine it with grass-flock... great looking bases can be created that way. The cork will looking like rock if painted grey.
Here is an example-base of what I mean:
(not my mini though)

That is a gorgeous fig, and I love the base, the use of cork is fantsatic too. I'm totaly thinking astrogranite, I think it might have to be a little thinner for most BB figs.S.

Go with DW's suggestion for basing. It's tried and true, and it really, really looks good.
