New Painting Service on the block

That's right, I'm now at a stage where I'm willing to offer my painting services. It's still at an early stage so there is no website for this yet, but if you email me at indigo@house-rulez.com I'll provide a few examples of my work and I will be able to get references from a few other happy customers. For the time being work will be priced on a job-by-job basis, and I'll also be doing some 40k/WFB stuff for ebay, but I'll give NAF members a small discount ;)

Just note - the Christmas Goblin team is not for sale :D

1. What's the turn around?
2. Do you make up bits eg Khemri?
3. Do you do conversions?
4. Do you paint strip?

I would be interested since I have a huge backlogue. My Undead team, ratscum team and even another Human team are all on my waiting list! I am also moving to Romania in late July.

Depends on what you want done. As a vague rule of thumb, give one day per figure, weekdays only, so for a team of 20 models or so I'd estimate that the maximum length of time needed to paint would be 4 weeks. It's quite probable they'd be done sooner than that, but if you allow for that kind of duration you won't be disappointed.
NightDragon wrote:2. Do you make up bits eg Khemri?
Not sure what you mean by this, especially in light of question 3.
NightDragon wrote:3. Do you do conversions?
Yes. For simple operations this generally won't impact the price much but for bigger and more complicated conversions it will. Again, this will all be decided on a case-by-case basis.
NightDragon wrote:4. Do you paint strip?
Yes. It probably won't impact the price much, but possibly the time. Stripping dozens of models may well incur a small additional cost to cover the cost of th paint stripper though!

I do plan on getting a site up with an FAQ to cover questions like these, but for now keep them coming. PM me if you're interested!

lol the response to this has been better than I though. Cheers for the support, advice and orders ;)

A nice boost to the ego to know your work is liked!

Gluck :) I wish I was good enough to actually paint mini's for a fee as I sit home most days staring at the walls or other such enterprises :).

So if I wanted 16 players done you could possibly get 2 teams done before I go. My Khemri team, half of which would need paintstripping, and my rat team would set me back how much?

I've PM'd you about it NightDragon.

For any of you that are interested, I've got some stuff I painted a while ago on ebay. It's all 40k stuff at present, and please forgive the marketing talk in the description ;)

I bet a bit more light in those pictures would get you more money... Maybe also more customers... Just a thought...

Don't get me wrong, I don't think they are bad. Just a bit too dark maybe.

I tried to simulate what a tad more sunlight might do. Of course if the photo itself is taken with more light it should look even better than that.
And hey, I'm no photo-pro myself, I just thought maybe my comment helps you get some more money out of your hard work, that's all...
