I was thinking about what to do with my orange dungeonbowl plastic elves, and figured I'd use them as linemen for a pro-elf team. So, I lined them up with a few of the 2nd edition metal elves I have and realised that the hair would have to go. Results were quite good...

Never mind the silvery colour of that one elf. It's a sin from way back when me and my cousin both wanted elves on our team. We decided to spray some with some spray paint found in the garage, just to be able to tell the difference easily. :)

Anyways, I'll groom them up a bit and presto, I have a few nice linemen for my pro-elf team and they'll be perfect for mixing with lineman2 and lineman3. Hooray! :) Never thought I'd manage to get one of them to look menacing, but the guy in the middle sure looks the bad-ass elf part. :D That's a speed painted test mini for the team colours btw... it took me 30 minutes from nothing to that which is really really incredibly fast for me. I also tried out a new spray sealer I got at the crafts store recently... worked quite well. =)

Do I get a prize now for finding a use for these (in my previous opinion) useless models? :)

Chuckle I must be the only one alive who likes the 3 foot mohawk look of those elves. Very good job on converting them to what you like though :) have a top view to see how the top of the hair looks?

You're not the only one, Khaine. I use those same figures on my elf team, which used to be a Wood Elf team, but I am contemplating turning into a pro-elf team.

An elf is an elf is an elf. "Wipe them out. All of them."

Hehe, right now the top of the hair looks like nothing but smoothly sanded orange plastic. :) I'll put a blob of greenstuff on them and shape some hair-ish surface.

I also changed the "mohawk along the back" to a flatter surface, which will get the "long hair along the back" look which lineman3 has. Won't do braids on them though... ;) :D Some of them (well, one) has had his back-hair removed all together. Lucky sod ;)

I just had to take a pic of the difference as I was a bit stunned. :) Once they're painted up a bit and so on there will be pics proper.

So now you have Mullet-Elves?
You have to love the huge mohawks. Who else is going to keep the hair gel industry going if not the bloodbowl elves.

Rofl, I didn't think of that! :D But yeah, basically they're mullet eleves... but hey, not trailer part trash mullets - it's trendy mullets. ;)
