was looking at their 25mm flagstone bases....was wondering what the viabiltiy would be of making a bloodbowl board outta these or ones that would be the right size?

With the mitred edges the squares may look a bit "gappy"
Is 25mm enough of a space for mini's to go on including big guys?
The trend at the moment is for mini's to be that 28mm heroic scale but with the gaps between each square it may take it ok
I'm sure I have seen a board out of bases before but not sure where. It was in a photograph of a Khemri pyramid dugout type thing but cant remember if traveller had anything to do with it but it may have been frank too

This isn't really helping is it?

maybe i should phrase it this way...I think it'd be cool if he had the flagstone squares at the same size as bloodbowl squares.

Ah! In that case.. hmmm it would be really great if someone saw this and had a good idea! Each board would have 390 "bases" to make a profit on!

that'd probably get a little expensive.......maybe plastic pieces?

Plastic molds are pretty expensive, but a metal board would be quite heavy in comparison. Perhaps interlocking sections of 6x6 (squares), 4x4, 8x8 or something so that you could snap them together and make dungeonbowl an option too...

The cost to you would be phenomenal and I'd be charging a higher rate of shipping, believe me! Far better to get some air-drying modelling clay or similar and roll it out to size, cut shapes in and paint it...

I kinda made a pitch like this. I had someone custom make a cast of a BB square (something like 1.1675") using the Hirst arts chipped stone texture. I then made some casts, which I used to make a large mold that was 15x1. So all I needed were 26 casts from this mold to make a field. I used dental plaster, when I should have probably used plastic. Dental plaster is great, but it gets really heavy. I did take it to Gencon and think it looked pretty good.
Hirst arts also has a nice flagstone tile that I'm hoping to have made. I won't make the same mistakes I made with the first one.

The Ref version of Boris is WIP, I've added a torn shirt (well, vest if you're in the UK) and a cap-wearing head. Am thinking of whether to replace his amulet necklace with a whistle. Got caught up in the casting/moulding process this week with
the new Tunnel Dweller and the Fantasy Football Wight, (sculpted by Mike Thorp) so I haven't really had the chance to do much on it...stand by...

Those people at Slaters (of plasticard numbers fame) do embossed plasticard sheets..dunno about the scale..but something may be of use:
