The Amazons was going to be a Warhammer army. They were planned and worked out and sculpted. They had quite a few mini's cast up. Then GW introduced proper quality control into the Design Studio (something that had always been 90% ego of the Studio Manager beforehand) and they were rejected.

Fanatic was in its infancy and was a training ground for new sculptors who were not good enough for the main studio but were very promising. The models were grabbed to use as either examples for new guys or anything else Fanatic deemed appropriate.

Jerv joined Fanatic and proposed an agile 'all dodge' team and the rest is history....

I think they were released as the original Amazon Mordheim warband too.

Erm, yeah, as I said when the newly formed Fanatic were given all these never before seen models they could do what they wanted with them. Funny how they appeared in two specialist systems....(?)

I don't like them at all. And I hate it when people are playing this team without coloured base rings...

I also want to paint my team with different coloured feathers.
What are the typical given colours for Blitzers, Throwers etc?

blitzers red, throwers green, catchers yellow .

with this team I find the blitzers are hard to see from the lino's .. if you manage to keep those apart you're done imho

Thanks Dave.
With this colours it should be clear. Still some conversions to do. I don´t want to have two catchers/throwers look the same. Same for the blitzers.
The worst about them is that they don´t have shoulder guards to paint a number on. I don´t like the idea to just paint the number on the basering. Maybe some tattoos will do.

you can easily bend the thrower's arms to create 2 different models, same with the catchers ..

For a second thrower I wanted to use a cheerleader #2 with the ballhand of a spare Norse thrower. So I won´t have two lefthanded throwers.
Cheerleader #1 plus the hands of the original catcher will be my other catcher.
I made up my plan for every player. Now I just need a few more miniatures.

Are there any (nonofficial) rules for secret weapons for Amazons?
Have a chainsaw or a dagger in mind (don´t take this too literally  ).

Have them on the table right now ... (thanks snots!) ... i decided to bump the predesigned Blitzer/Linewoman allocation and change it. The difference between Blitzer2 and Line4 is a joke!

So I'll use Line2 and 3 as Blitzers and the "Blitzers" as linewoman. Color-Coding is a must anyway ...

One good thing about those minis is that the arms are very easy to bend. and the legs are possible to bend once you seperated them from the loincloth.
