We first saw the green of this model several months ago.

I was particularily excited when I saw it, and was looking forward to seeing it in my local store. There must have been production problems because it took far longer to get to the store than most Reaper greens do. I was a bit disapointed at first because of the scale of the miniature. It was difficult to tell what size the mini was going to be from the green. Its a big guy sized piece and I was hoping for something more human size. I was going to use it as either a replacement for a werewolf or as a unique looking saurus for my LM team. But it was just too big. It would have been perfect for a Kroxigor, But I'm rather fond of my Kroxigor Trogdor the Burninator,

and I didn't really need another. Then after my last game (lost 2-1 against Khemri in overtime  ) One of my Saurus's gained a skill and I rolled a strength increase. A strength five Saurus is practically a Kroxigor without Bonehead and Prehensile tail, so I immediately thought of replacing the existing fig with something more impressive. The wereshark came into mind instantly. I also considered the Saurus Champion, but at Can$16 its way overpriced compaired to the wereshark at $9.99, making the much larger wereshark an incredible bargain. So, going on the premise that my Saurus had been bit by a wereshark, I purchased the figure. It looks fantastic! The only thing that I don't like about it is the right hand where he appears to be holding an Octopus. I havent decided if I'm going to repalce it or not. The fig itself had loads of mold lines, which is unusual for a reaper product, but that was dealt with easily. The parts fit together nicely. I plan to add some shoulder pads to give him more of a BB look. I heartily recomend this model. He will make a beautiful and unique looking Kroxigor for your LM team, or can be used as an Ogre for an aquatic themed team from a different race. While I feel he's too big to be used as an werewolf, some of you may not care, so go for it. I give this model:
:D :D :D :D out of five.

Exactly. Just cut it off and put it on a large round base.

I always thought of doing a pirate themed team (whether Human or Skaven "Pi-Rats) and using this wereshark as the Ogre/RO. I love the way the mini looks and thanks for hte great write up chair.

Sorry to resurect an old thread but now that the painting contest is over I thought that I would put some pics of the finished version of the wereshark up.

I ended up replacing the hand holding the octapus with a spare Ogre hand that I had sitting in my bitxbox. I think that it worked nicely. The basing was rather easy. There is just a hint of the old base, but they work as rocks on the beach. All in all, given my painting abilities I was very happy with how he turned out. And btw his name is Sherman. :) ) And the pink eyes..... I know..... But I was constrained by the team colour and name "the Pink Eyed Terrors" so there was method to my madness....

Thanks guys! I had fun with the base. I used a layer of plastic cement on the water section to give it a rippling water effect. After I had painted it of course. I put a thin layer of green stuff in the "beach" area to raise it from the water.

Chairface:

I think that the problem with the miniature is the same as mine:

The photos aren't clear enough.

With clearer photos we can get a better idea about the miniature. I think I'm going to scan my mini for clearer shots.

Hey Babs. I think you're right. I have no idea of how to take pics of figs. I have to actually BUY a white dwarf and read that article.
