Manufacturing costs

I have absolutely no problem with markup, first of all: sculptors work hard, companies need to make money, people need to eat!
But I am curious as to how much actual cost is on a "regular" BB-type figure... your typical Orc blitzer or WElf lino.

I used to work in the biz for black orc games (100 kingdoms) and still work with sculptors regularly as a freelance artist.
I wondered this thing myself and asked the boss one day to break down the actual cost of a figure, including labor expenses. Turns out, the cost of your average man-sized figure is about 20cents, and with packaging, around 50. That’s right, on average, the packaging costs more than the figures inside! You wouldn't believe how small the puddle is when you melt these guys down into liquid pewter...

Well maybe I can help.
First 1 mini for little casters like me is around 1.5 euros per piece in plastik, and around 2 in metal.
So 100 mini is 150 euros ok?
If you want to make some minis you need some cash, so like in every bussiness you need to get some cash... How? sell minis less cheaper than 1. euros.
Then you need to pay the sculptor (if it's not you)
Then you need to pay for packaging.... (GW usually send you minis in a normal box wich cost a little.
Then you pay the website (if it's not you) if it's not you an advetising like fanatik or white Dwarve magazine.
Then you pay tools (15 euros for tools, and 15 more to get greenstuff).

Where does one find a "producer"? I wouldn`t know where to send a finished green for actual casting.
