hm, why you didnt cut the plasticbases of the minis away before glueing them on the standard bases ? BTW... where thoses Gobbos come from ?
The greenstuff with fingerprints or this kind of " texture" dont look so good IMO... maybe try to get a cleaner surface next time ?
For the flag it would be nicer to make a seperate flag first and glue it later onto the stick. Looks cleaner...

Just want to give some advice ... ... in the beginning i work the same way.

because i'm stupid  no really because i was going to build up the bases to the same height. they just look a little rubbish when the bases have been cut off.

also they're from one of the gw familiar packs. the ones with skaven rats, big bats, huge spiders and these snots.

they are the old Warhammer quest snot/goblins which were later released seperatly IIRC

I my self of no good with greenstuff, but I really like your idear with the foam hand. The only thing I have learned is to use water to avoid some of the fingerprints in the gs.

cheers for that musta, i meant to go over them afterwards while they were drying to clear the fingerprints but alas i was tired and i'm inherently lazy :D

try using some sculpting tool, they are much better than fingers

that is also a very good suggestion longfang. again if i wasn't so lazy i'd have got some by now. plus i didn't want to shell out on some shiny tools to be too afraid to use them. now i know i'll use them i better go shopping.

over to heresy i think.

You can actually use a small exacto knife and various pointy hard and smooth objects, like plastic cocktail sticks or whatnot. As long as you keep them wet while working the green stuff it's all good.

It looks pretty good for someone not used to sculpting with green stuff. If you buy Heresy mini's I suggest their sculpting tools. They are reasonabley priced and do a wonderful job.

Nice idea for an apo. As far as tips go, i'd recomend some greese proof paper (baking paper), it's good for rolling out the gs as they don't stick togeather and cuts easily. I love green stuff  but i'll be *#$/%*ed if I can get it to do what I want

Also as a tip, I found this article to be a beginners bliss. Maybe it's got some helpful lines for you, too:
