Just seen a decent team on ebay > http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 14546&rd=1

The pitch is real slick, nice clean finish to the squares. Anyone know how to make something similar? Looks like a cut into the polystyrene but is real sharp edges.

Any good ideas...

If that team is decent i'd love to see a great team.

Do a search for pitches there are several threads. BB Mag article in one of the issues and several helpful posts around here.

maybe the cuts are made with a heated cutting tool, much like a cheese wire sort of thing. i think you'd get a good clean cut with something like that. don't know much about them though.

Poor search button, how lonely and unwanted it must feel.

The how to on the pitch was in an issue of the BBmag. There never was a step by step for the stadium. But a simplier solution to a stadium is here

yeah its not too bad a team - but not that amazing..

anyway the cuts looks so clean i cant work out if they are from some sort of hot knife dervice... looks far too good on polystrene than a craft knife.

Of course you hate it. It's green - not grey.

I've said this in another thread. I know him. He is the artist who did my Woodelf team and an all around great guy. He's just joined our community here yesterday. Maybe he'll show us more of his art. He's simply phenomenal and I feel fortunate he sends me pictures of his work.

I must say that I like his miniatures even more than his paintings though... but that's personal. Although the sci-fi pictures are really nice.

And he's "on board" now ? Well, that's good for all the painters out there, I think the standard is going up more and more !
