Pay special attention to the cyborg B.O.R.I.S. (Screams Flesh Golum), and the Snow Troll towards the bottom of the page. (perfect for Norse)

There I was minding my own business...... Browsing through the posts.....
Not harming anyone..... Sunshining.... then there it was, "go and have a look at the new greens by Heresy" seemingly innocent. So I thought what can it hurt. So I did.
Then whilst I was looking the voices started .....a whisper at first.... then they got louder...... and before I knew what had happened I had ordered some minitures.... that was when the voices started laughing, In that... I knew you would.... sort of a way. Now I will be sitting at the front door until the stuff arrives then I will be in the shed until they are put together and painted.
Just because I was innocently "browsing" in the house on my own. It's not my fault, my girlfriend should not go to work when I have a day off. I'm just not responsible. I should not be left unsupervised there should be a law against it.
Must go and sit by the door now!
Cheers

Don't feel too bad. Sometimes it just happens and you can't control it.

I have a question...but probably only for you sculptors. Why is it that when we see these greens some of it is metal? I know some of the obvious reasons. Like on the gun, for example, the metal pieces are probably bits that are easier to use for a framework but what about things like the troll's foot? Surely these aren't pieces from other models are they, I mean that would be sort of illegal wouldn't it? Unless they were his models? But why would he reuse parts of models...or why cast just the foot?
Phil?

If you have a base model that you are modifying it is a lot easier to work from a 1st generation cast of those pieces in metal and then add on the green stuff. In this case the Snow Troll's foot is the foot from his Dungeon Troll which is another Heresy fig. Same thing for the Boris figure in the sneak peak with the metal chest. That's a chest from another Boris fig getting a remakeover.
Common practice in the industry. Many GW figures are cut casts of other figures that are then modified slightly with a different head or such. See 2nd edition figures ... a lot of minis with the exact same bodies but 2 or 3 different heads ... this was done by casting one of those 3 figures and then cutting off the head and puttting a new one on with green stuff and recasting the new product.

That's what I figured. Guess I didn't realize the foot was from another fig.
