Evenin' all!..

Right ..erm...Gobo team, swamp/canal/bog themed Gobos...they salvage stuff from canal/swamp/bog as items of armour and/or weaponary...

Tis the usual.."WIP" conversion blog thingy...so sit back and watch as I blunder my way through, various sculpting and modelling crimes. (I will update this 1st post as things are add, aswell as posting as normal to bump the thread)

The team to be built;
x1 GW Swamp Troll ~ Batter boat as armour, lashed to his back by chains and rope + extra bits here and there.

x1 GW Swamp Troll ~ LOADS of salvaged shields and the like, strapped and roped into place as additional armour.

x1 Pogo Gnoblar ~ Riding in a battered trolley, pimped out with springs.

x1 Chainsaw Gnoblar ~ Carrying customised outboard motor as impromptu chainsaw...pimped of course with extra blades!

x1 Looney Gnoblar ~ Several recycled tryes from the swamp bound together for as much clobbering weight as the little fellow can swing about his head.

x1 Bombardier Gnoblar ~ Standing next to a "Dog Waste" bin on pole, about to through a bag of "Doggy Do Do's" at unwary players...intercept anyone!

x?? various Gnoblar types in swampy type things etc etc...

There's about another 3 - 4 "layers" of details/ GS to add yet before they are ready/finished..as and when Real World allows.

Outstanding Pug. I can't wait to watch this unfold. I can also sympathize with that real world comment.

Looks great pug. Have you any idea on how how you're going to be doing the water effects yet!

for the bases a bit of milliput to form pools then fill with "water effect", maybe a bit of UHU glue for dripping water of limbs and items. a bit of gloss varnish for damp clothing etc.

I find your UHU ideas intriguing...

Look forward to seeing some mire shots.

Work pug, work

If your talking about vallejo water effects you can use a brush to drip it into snot like water drips.

For the Ball&Chain, how about a rusted/broken piece of an boat Anchor? For some reason for me tires are ... bouncy, not hard.

I love what you've done with the Trolls already.
I can recommend the GW water effects stuff (as much as i hate recommending anything they make!!) I used it on my Lizardmen bases and on the last pitch I built and its great stuff.

This seemed really sweet when I read you first post, and I have to say your execution matched my high expectations.

Really liked Piousman's idea with the anchor as well, makes sense.

Looks amazing so far!

Change tyres...Hmm could do as not started gnoblars yet..Anchor is more "Sea" theme I'm thinking...maybe stump of old tree?...or.....a big clump of boots and wellies etc ....or a alligator swinging about....maybe a collection of bycycles (see: Boneshaker), traffic cones, gun, canal boat mooring bollard....or....a rusting gibbet with a half rotten, weed encrusted body inside?

I still have a load of strapping to do on trolls, and to sculpt dangling innards and jutting bones from the ripped in half WOOD ELF MWA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAA! *Ahem* ....excuse me!....
