I'm getting back into table top gaming after a lengthy absence. I've been playing Cyanide (and more recently FUMBBL) but I've been looking forward to painting up a team.
I set a New Years goal to paint and convert up a full team to play with some friends.
I finished up a couple test models for my first team.

Waiting to base until the whole team is done.

Nice start!
A quick highlight/drybrush on the blue would work wonders.

Welcome back to the hobby!
Very nice to see a striking colour scheme on dwarfs for a change!
They look quite nice, congrats!
Keep us updated on your progresses!
Cheers!
A.

I will take that as a complement, Heff.
Next team after this is an orc team for my brother in law. A chaos dwarf team is in route for later.

I am a fan! I just don't have one, yet...
Planning on stealing the deathroller chopper from the deathroller contest thread. Edit: the idea, not the actual mini!

Nice one mate, im flattered

I was going for a Peter Fonda Easy Rider look, running over a goblin wicked witch from Wizard of Oz. The red slippers didnt come out as sparkly as i wanted
Christ knows where the idea came from...
The body is a imperial gaurd autocannon and the wheels are from a T-72 1/48th scale tank. Cheap as chips to make, and pretty fun.
Very cool scheme on your Dwraf team. Uniformed and striking. I like the helms on the blitzers. Did you leave the black bits on the wings or did you paint them silver? (I love the black!)

@ChenZhen - thanks for the Lego pic - I think I've found a Deathroller I want.

Thanks much! The blitzer helm parts I'm leaving black. I was going to paint silver, but really liked how they turned out, so I'm leaving them.
If you have any other in progress shots, I'd love to see them! I've got a ton of bits lying around, so I was looking to frankenstein a death roller together. Had thought about a bike style, and then saw yours, and it sold me on the idea!
I really liked your use of the gears. Made the model feel functional.
I'm prepping the dwarf team for dull coat spray and basing. I am forcing myself to be done painting them. I just got back into painting after a long hiatus. I really want to play some (non computer) BB. I never played the game (despite owning the game and an unpainted dwarf team) before stumbling across the cyanide game a while back. I could continue to fix the models or do touch ups, but the main point is to get a painted team so I can play! (I really dislike playing with unpainted minis).
So I keep reminding myself, "table top standard... let it go"
I'll post the pics after I base them.
