Looking 4 James "Slann" Bobko - he has my TEAM & MONEY!

Sorry to bother with this in public, but I'm hoping for someone local to James "Slann" Bobko can help me out.

I believe he lives in Brooklyn, NY.

I sent him a team to paint and money in February 2011. We've had off and on communication and lots of excuses as to why it's not done. It's now 13 months later.

I'm going to leave out the various personal excuses of the email string, but needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated. From family issues, to work issues, etc.... I told him I don't know what the real story is and I really don't care. I just want my team.

Nov 4th he said its almost done
Dec 21st he asks for my address and said its done and will ship on Tuesday
Jan 30th he said its in his hands and will ship on Thurs
Feb 13th he said he'll mail it next tuesday
Feb 21st he said he will ship on his lunch break the next day

I did get his phone number and left him a couple voicemails the past few days. No answer via phone. No answer via email (in past 16 days).

Usually its 4 of my emails sent for every 1 reply with an excuse.

Sorry to take this public, but I really don't feel like paying attorney fees to pursue this in that way..... I'm hoping there is someone that can help out a Main Guy here!

At one point he said he may just do a refund. I told him I don't want a refund because it took forever to collect the exact models I want and some of them I spent lots of time converting. I want that team in my hands.

Is there anyone here that sees him in person? Maybe as part of a league or gaming club?

Right now I'm out $225 and about 25 models (combination Chaos Pact / Human team with coaches, big guys, star players, cheerleaders) and 2 Impact Cases I shipped them to him in that I wanted them shipped back with!

Any help is appreciated.

Man, that sucks. He painted a team for me, and while it wasn't the most professional commission experience, I eventually got them.

Pretty sure he used to play in a league with Glamdryn, so maybe start there.

He painted a Slann team 2 years ago for me. At first it looked pretty good, but then it appeared little or no priming was done and some chipping started to occur after just one tournament.

After that experience, I asked him about his primers and he told me he does in fact use them, so I figured I'd give him another chance.

Now... never again.

it's his real name.. he lives in Brooklyn and works as a janitor (or whatever the PC term is for a janitor nowadays) at an Elementary school on the upper west side.. I know that because I went to his school to collect the human minis he painted for me in person.. I only have his cell number JP, which I guess you have as well.. the school is up around 86th and Amsterdam I think.. try googling the PS #s up around that area and then phone and ask for him.. unless you have a court order which prevent you from calling elementary schools..

Sorry about that, then. I'm pretty sure he said he played in the NYCBBL, and I thought you ran that at some point. But maybe I was wrong about one or both of those things.

I ran a league here in bk that James played in and he was a semi regular visitor to our game group. If I see him I'll be sure to get on his case about getting back to you and see if anyone in the area has heard from him. He does have a tendency to drop off the radar and I haven't seen him in a few months so I can't promise anything. It definitely isn't cool that hes giving you the runaround especially since I know he takes a lot pride in doing commissions.

Also norse better not show his face around here otherwise he'll get a size 11 skinny jeans & sneaker up his arse.

Finally got a call back (had to call him at work) I actually just got off the phone with him now. Things are looking up. Package should be going out Saturday.
