Post by AbraxiS »

Hi there all...

Just wanted to present you all my newest team...the Oak Land Riders :D

This is the logo that Axtklinge made for them...thanks bro ;)

And here´s the Oakman that Inkpwn sold me...his name is Ekie...Thadrin told me that Ek means oak in swedish so,i just added the ie...lol

I hope you like them...since i saw the team that fatfinley did,i wanted to have one for myself...but i wanted to keep mine even more old school so,i´ve used a 2ed treeman :D

All in all,im very pleased with the team, and if you want, you can make one with something like 20 euros or something by buying the figs from ebay for example.

Cheers all

Paulo

The fact that I'm looking at those old plastic elves and thinking they look good shows what an effective colour scheme that is. Great work - nice trick with the hair too!

Thanks :)

They came out better than i expected...you know, these elves are a little cheap in detail :D

I was going to paint them in another colour scheme:

But as you can see,i quickly forgot that and start painting them in my "kingdom colours"...Black and Gold :D

As for the hair,i´ve stole that idea from fatfinley´s elve and i´ve also tried to match the base ring colour...it makes it easy for knowing who´s who.

Cheers

Hi...no i didnt :D ...i mean,i started painting them without priming (when i was trying to use those light colours ) but since i wasnt liking the result,i primed them and start painting again in another colour scheme.

But i sometimes i dont prime...but only when i want to blend 2 or more colours directly on the fig...which you may think its kind of dumb but hey...it worked on my Trollbloods :D

Cheers

Nice looking team!
The colour trick with the "base ring + hair" is indeed a very smart way to tell apart the positional's.
Congrats!
