Model Suggestions requested - ST 4 Skaven
My Chaos Pact team had the luck to get a ST bump on my Skaven Renegade. I'm looking for a model to suit him, and the regular skaven ones aren't cutting it. So, any suggestions for a "buff rat" that's not too big (don't want to use a Rat Ogre for a ST 4) that might be able to have mutations converted down the road. Also keep in mind he's armor 7, so a full plate champion is also away from what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance,
Nod

Green Dog's Kamaron looks pretty big and isn't very armored:

If he is too big, maybe the "lineratcker" from the same line:

I wouldn't think that bracers and shoulder pads would automatically bump him up to AV8.

One of the original GW Rat Ogres: http://www.solegends.com/citcat912/c20223skaven.htm
They're not that much bigger than the current Skaven range (damn that scale-creep!).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Currently the skaven, dark elf and goblin are their respective blood bowl models. Marauders are built from the fantasy unit models, and the big guys are a chaos troll, chaos ogre, and classic doombull.

Re: Model Suggestions requested - ST 4 Skaven
good call on that, darkson! also if you go to black tree designs they offer some " not rat ogre" types and they are about the same size as the original gw rat ogres darkson refers to. and they are fitted with fighting claws and whatnot.Darkson wrote:One of the original GW Rat Ogres: http://www.solegends.com/citcat912/c20223skaven.htm

Thanks again everyone. I was able to find one of those oop rat ogres for a decent price on ebay so I'm waiting for it to get here to see how it sizes up.

A little late to the table here and maybe not relevant for your team:
If you're using the 2nd ed skavens by Jes Goodwin, there's a doglike beastman, produced in the same years by the same sculptor, who will fit right in with the rest as a one head taller, bigger player. Then you can use the rat ogre as rat ogre too.
Will snap a picture next week when I get back to my stash (couldn't find picture on the net)

A page with some Beastmen by Goodwin and this page is all by Goodwin... which beastman?
I can see 09, 022019 and 022024 as rather doggy... also the 022xxx looks like Chaney.
Ohh... looking at other pages of beastmen in those catalogues... the memories... when beastmen were weird and not just cookie cutter satyrs over and over. Some really chaotic beings in that age.

That'll be because that was the figure Chaney was converted from.steamball wrote:also the 022xxx looks like Chaney.
