Rackham Dwarves for Blood Bowl

Post by wappellious »

I don't think that I have posted these yet...
http://wappellious.blogspot.com/2012/05 ... ckham.html

I just put up a set of images on the blog of a dwarf team made from the regular Confrontation dwarves. Maybe its the really big heads and big hands, but they are very cool for Blood Bowl :-)

I have also seen the Mid Noir dwarves be used for Chaos Dwarfs with great effectiveness. The little bull cenbtaurs are the perfect size for a blood bowl field. I am pretty sure that Mike Mueller did that, and they looked incredible.

Yup, those are pretty amazing. XTreme has a similar team that looks good, though they aren't quite as Wappel-ious.

Superb paint job, congrats!

How did you do the snow in the bases?

Thanks!

The snow begins as a blob of flex paste, which is then painted in a blueish-grey. It is highlighted up to white. Once the paint is finished, you can take some white elmer's glue, and spread some woodland scenics snow flock on top of the painted flex paste!

A bloke out here in Western Australia has used these models in our local league also and the are painted to your same high standard, albeit a different colour scheme.

I've never tried snow flock before but should definitely give it a try, it gives a 'fluffy' look to the snow.

Superb as usual! The models are so full of character and the paint job is out of this world. Kudos :)

I showed these models to my fiance last night when I read the forum.. her response - "are those real? Someone actually painted them?"

I'm just glad the sentence wasn't "why can't you paint like that.."

Awesome work, Jim!

Looks like my 2008 Dwarf team. Although a guy in Perth beat me to the punch with them (and they were better too darn it - as are Wappel's ones).

Actually there are better shots if you search the site such as this one

I am pleased, as the greatest form of flattery is imitation!
I'm working on a sequel team now with the Mid Nor dwarves .... not as Chaos Dwarves ... but as Nurgle.
